    Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where is the My Games and Apps tile in the pins section?

A: The My Games and Apps section has been moved from the pins section to the top right corner of the Dashboard on the home screen for quicker access.

Q: Which regions is Cortana supported in?

A: At the present time, Cortana is supported in the US and GB regions only. If you’d like to see full Cortana support added in your region, please be sure to leave your feedback on our feedback page
    HERE.

Q: Can I still say “Xbox” instead of “Hey Cortana”?

A: When Cortana is enabled you’ll need to use the phrase “Hey Cortana” then issue a command. Only when Cortana is disabled, will you be able to use “Xbox” commands.

Q: How do I disable Cortana?

A: Cortana can be disabled by going to Settings > System > Cortana Settings. From this screen you’ll have the option to Disable Cortana.

Q: I’m using a Child account, will I be able to fully use Cortana?

A: Cortana’s search has a higher content rating and permission than Child accounts have by default. Parent accounts will need to authorize the use of Cortana on the individual child account in order for the Child to be able to use the full
Cortana experience. Without this authorization, only basic voice commands will work.

Q: What are some basic Cortana commands I can use?

A: You can find out what operations Cortana can do and respond to by saying “Hey Cortana, What Can I Say?” at different screens and inside apps.

Q: How do I link my Social Media account so I can find friends by using the contacts from Facebook and Twitter?

A: You can both link and unlink an account by going to Settings > Account> Linked Social Accounts.

Q: How do I find my Facebook friends on Xbox Live?

A: To find your Facebook friends on Xbox Live, first head over to the Friends section on the guide and press “A” on the dropdown box to change
Friends to Suggestions then select See all suggestions. From this screen you can change suggestions to Facebook Friends.

Q: Where do I go to view and change privacy settings for apps on the console?

A: To view and make changes to your privacy settings for different apps go to Settings > Account > Privacy & Online Safety > App Privacy.

Q: Where can I go to manage my Account Subscriptions such as EA Access?

A: To make changes to a subscription on the console, go to Settings > Account > Subscriptions. Many of the changes you needed to use account.microsoft.com for in the past can now be done on the console!

Q: How do I change the language setting on the console?

A: To change the language on the console you will want to go to: Settings > System > Language & location. From this screen you can change the various settings including the Language region.

    :)

Is there a way to remove the new gamertag that includes numbers from my account?

The most simple explanation is that unfortunately there really isn't any alternative way for you to get rid of those new numbers. As per the 'new' gamertag update of the summer of 2019, it'd probably require a lot of money in terms of changing your gamertag
a bunch of times while spending a few hours trying to find one that won't give you those extra identification numbers. Here's that gamertag FAQ if you're curious on how it all works: https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/profile/gamertag-update-faq
