    the xbox series x needs more storage space


    the title should say it all but here is more. the xbox series X only has 1TB of space on an SSD. with most games now being at least 100Gb to 180GB+ this means you can only get about 3-4 games on the system before being filled. and i thought the days of the small expansion cards went out with the older models of xbox 360. so i have 2 questions for you.



    how much storage space do you people think the series X and S should have on them?



    would you be willing to a price increase to meet that storage amount level?

    An SSD provides more storage space not memory and yes you will be able to use it to store Xbox One and games for Xbox 360. Xbox Series X games are required to be on the internal SSD storage or the add on 1TB SSD storage that plugs into the unit.

    The games on the SSD will run fine on it. You won't need to move them to the Xbox Series X storage to play them. Only the Xbox Series X games & games optimized for Series X will need to be played on the consoles own storage.

    Games on disc. Do I need to repurchase digital versions?

    If most of your games are on disc then the Series S (which does not have an optical drive) isn't for you. If purchased this console, you'd need to buy the digital versions of your games again.

    Also be aware that the Series S is more of an entry level console, and while it has better specs and performance then the Xbox One and One S, it lacks storage space. You're better off with the Series X.

    This crops up a lot on consoles that are short on space. Locally I have doctors lots of console with 2TB hard disks and more recently 2TB SATA SSD to provide more room. The Xbox Series X|S are advantaged with the expanded storage unit.

    Curious. The support site also doesn’t mention that this shouldn’t work. I’ll test other titles and let you know, but I’m sure Forza is the same.
