    The Xbox One Slim

What i would like to see in the Xbox 1 Slim, though it does seem a long way from now since the release of the Xbox One, the Xbox One does still does have a lot of room for improvement were talking 5 year for the Xbox 1 Slim to come out, but Microsoft has
plenty of time to improve there system and controller. Here are my recommendations that can make the Xbox 1 Slim a whole lot better.

    Controller

Improved controller, more spacious analogue sticks, more clickable shoulder buttons and d pad, slightly raised d pad, motion sensor and speaker built into the controller, a more improved rumble and vibration, bluetooth and a mic that you can switch on and off
    built into the controller.

    Console

The console itself would be more compact, more powerful in terms of hardware, upgradable hard drive and wouldn't scratch discs when the system is moved.

Share your ideas, what would make the Xbox 1 Slim better.

Xbox One and Kinect 2's exact size, cable length revealed

Of course it is quite a bit bigger than the 360 slim, the original Xbox 360 was bigger than the slim, I'm sure it's bigger than the Xbox One slim will be too. That's the point of releasing the slim versions later on. But it is only 2.4cm longer than the original Xbox 360, which is what it should be compared to, not the revised, shrunk later released versions.

    Original 360 dimensions

    309mm x 258mm x 83mm

    Not much in it really.

Regarding your suggestions for the controller, I think the shoulder bumpers and triggers should be more flush with each other to ease transitioning from one to the other. As for the D-pad, I like that it's flush with the controller because it makes "sliding"
from one direction to the other easier - you wouldn't be able to do that with a raised d-pad. Also, I like having the joysticks close together - it helps the controller feel less cumbersome; I also feel like if you spread them apart, there would just be waisted
space in between. Besides, the closer the things are to each other, the faster you can access them. The Xbox One Slim ;)

Edited version because i can't edit my posts for some reason.

What i would like to see in the Xbox 1 Slim.

Though it does seem a long way from now since the release of the Xbox One, the Xbox One still does have a lot of room for improvement were talking 5 years for the Xbox 1 Slim to come out, but Microsoft has plenty of time to improve there system and controller,

Here are my recommendations that would make the Xbox 1 Slim a whole lot better.

    Controller

Improved controller, more spacious analogue sticks, the analogous feel a bit cramped when compared to the Xbox 360 controller and it's also quite noisy when you use it.

More clickable shoulder buttons, the shoulder buttons don't feel clickable and fast enough especially the Rb button which has a less of a click than the Lb button, or maybe there's something wrong with my controller.

The d pad needs to be slightly raised and more clickable, the controller also needs a motion sensor for racing games and a speaker so you can hear some of the in game sounds through your controller, for example when your reloading a weapon or starting a
vehicle in a game also having that option to adjust the volume or turn it off.

A more improved rumble and vibration, bluetooth switch and a mic that you can switch on and off built into the controller.

    Console

The console itself would be more compact, more powerful in terms of hardware but it needs an upgradable hard drive especially for next gen where you have to install every game. I hope Microsoft fix's the lens that scratch's discs when the system is moved.

No speaker in the controller no way. I hate it in the ds4 and I turn it off on settings. Shoulder buttons are fine IMO if you use them as designed. For those that rest their fingers on the shoulder button I can see the issue.

    The Xbox One Slim

It would be cool to have a speaker and mic built in to the controller it would improve your gameplay experience, having a adjust volume button or having the option turn it off just like the Wii Mote, so overall there is no reason to not having this, plus
you can use it for game chat, no headset required.

What you describe is not an xbox one slim but a completely new console generation. No console maker changes the controller and hardware of the console midway through a consoke life cycle.

To the console itself there would be significant changes just like with last generation, the Xbox 360 Slim but i don't think there will be much improvement with the controller due to the price it would cost to make but it still would be cool for Microsoft
to take it in as consideration for there future, or they should of done it in the first place rather than spending all that time in to the used games and always online policy.

  11. Hello everyone The Xbox One Slim :)

If the Xbox One Slim will be released Early 2016, I would definitely postpone my Fall 2015 Xbox One purchase because I would rather have the Slim version The Xbox One Slim :)

Have a nice day or afternoon or night everyone The Xbox One Slim :)

  12. Why would I need an adjust volume button on my controller... When I could just tell My XBox to Turn the volume up or down. It's a whole lot easier than focusing to an button for a second.

"Xbox Volume Up" works great in a tight situation. Or even when your lounging to a movie and the remote which ever of the 3 available to you, you may use.

Yes I will admit all these off the chain idea's would be cool too have. Bluetooth crazy, bling out everything but in reality no one even likes spending 65$USD on a Controller as it stands now.

Why Lei Fang? So it can overhead faster? The Xbox One Slim :p

I'm against having a speaker in the controller because it adds weight and will likely be cheap in terms of quality, but still make the controller itself more expensive. IMO, it's not really necessary...

Given how much they iterated on the controller, I don't see it changing over the life of the console.

You're not going to see a spec change. An upgradeable HDD bay may not be a possibility. Depends on if the system can boot without a HDD attached.

You won't see a physical change until TSMC reaches the next process node. Their 20nm process node isn't panning out. Their next step is 16nm, but the earliest that may be ready is the end of 2014. Figure there will be complications, so that means Q2 2015
    for 16nm at the earliest.

My guess is a smaller chassis for Q4 2016, hopefully with an integrated mic and IR blaster. They could probably integrate all of Kinect, but the hatorade on Kinect isn't going anywhere so I don't see them doing that.
