The xbox one is the only choice for console gaming

both consoles are good just some prefer ps4 and others prefer xbox

Is it just me that thinks the original post is a thinly veiled attack by an xbot.

I had Xbox then Xbox 360. Decided that most of my gaming would be on PlayStation this gen. I had PS1 and PS2 but never 3.

I found the X1 to be disappointing, and I was an Xbox fan, so bought a PS4 and a Vita.

Absolutely the right move to "jump ship". Great system. Looks great. Runs quiet. Doesn't overheat. The UI is better than the competition. Having been on xbox live since launch day, PSN is every bit as good as live nowadays. PS+ is fantastic, great games
so far, Driveclub to come, plus all the other free games. I've lost count but they have given me about 12 or 13 free games Vs zero on the competition. The DS4 is the best controller I have ever used and is way better than the cheap feeling competition.

Most important is the games. Multiplatform games are better on PS4. In my opinion Sony has the best exclusives like Uncharted, Infamous, Gran Turismo, many more to come. As a gamer PS4 is THE place to play, and it does all the multimedia stuff the Xbox does
except the tv, but I already have a device to watch tv. Its called a tv.

So yes, I feel that I made the right decision.

If you strip away all the bs internet press, I think at launch, no question the xb1 was the more attractive buy. It clearly had the better launch games, and because both consoles had a very limited number of games at launch you really need other things
to do with your console. Xbox One provides that. With the TV, Skype, voice commands, instant switching.... there's a lot of fun to be had with just the console. The ps4......not so much.

Even now, xb1 has it's first mega game coming out..... when is the pa4 get their first big exclusive?

Sadly Sony really got a free pass this launch and xb1 got put thru the grinders. Its a shame, because I think a lot of people made the wrong choice.

Now a year from now both consoles should really be rolling along. But right now.... the xb1 is the place to be.

 

I agree, the PS4 having slightly better graphics isn't a huge deal to me. However if im paying an extra $100 for the system, I would expect it to look as good, if not better. I know, that extra is tacked on so they can force the Kinect on people. I loved
the original Kinect. Right from the start it had fun games that I wanted to play. This time around we have only dance, fitness, and a single fighter that looks pretty bad. In fact, the only title that will make the Kinect worth using is the upcoming Kinect
Sports. What is after that though? Nothing! Other features the Kinect has is voice, and motion commands. These are awkward at best and at times are barely functional. Other then that there's Skype which I don't really care about.

So you're ok with spending an extra $100, but there's a lot of people out there who are not and I understand why. That is a lot of money for some people. For that extra $100 they could buy a better hard drive for their PS4. Or if they want a camera, they could
buy that and an extra game. Maybe they want a year of Plus, and an extra game.. A controller and an extra game? You see, you get a lot more for your money on PS4. Even with Plus its cheaper then Gold, and you get a lot more for it. In the bad economy we live
in, that $100 is a lot for some people and they can do a lot with it.

I do agree with you on the exclusives. Its the main reason I bought an XBox One first. The only PS4 exclusive that interest me that are out now, or soon is Killzone, and Drive Club. Other then that, there's nothing. I always laugh when Sony fanboys brag
about how great their exclusives are when they essentially have nothing.

In the end I must say I am sorry I bought an XBox One on day one. I could have waited and gotten a free Titanfall along with it now, or I could have waited a little while longer and took advantage of the price cut that will surely be here soon for the US.
I essentially bought a buggy as heck system that was in beta along with a Kinect I never use for $100 more then I wanted to pay. Heck, after Titanfall my hard drive will be filled and that means I won't even be buying any new games until they add external
support. I don't see that coming anytime soon either. Whoever made the choice to equip the system with such a tiny hard drive that you can't replace should be fired. Yes I know PS4 has the same size, but you can at least put bigger in that. I loved my 360,
but the XBox One so far has proven to be a mess in nearly every way. Its all Microsofts fault too. They refused to listen to what their supporters wanted in a system, and now their paying the price. Sony listened, now their reaping the rewards.

 

Mostly nonsense.... voice commands work awesome. My fave feature

 

What the supporters wants ?

Backward compatibility.

All games release on day one.

No "fancy" accessory,a one button joystick is already too much.

Better hardware than the best PC.

No isses at all.

All of this and more for a very very very low price.

Hopefully,gamers doesn't make Entertaiment systems.
