The Xbox One interface is so dull.

The Xbox One interface is so empty, it's missing so much from its predecessor and it's even more empty when offline, the fact that i can't see my pins offline, the fact that i cant change the background image. Everything is squished up into one slide. If
only everything was laid out into it's own slides and categories like the 360, sending messages and seeing your friends list within a click of a button is not there with the Xbox One.

Having a slide just for personalisation and settings and separate slide for games, apps and music would be very useful rather than it being squished up into one slide and not being able to see them.

Being able to see your game saves on the cloud and the hard-drive would also be very useful and to have a option to manually save like the 360. The Xbox One interface should bring more customisation and personalisation into its interface for example having
a marketplace just for themes and downloading them, customising your fonts and icons etc and having a indie marketplace and why can't i see all my pins.

i actually got rid of my ps4 on monday for the X1, got forza horizon 2 which is just fantastic and im not really a racing fan, i just prefer xbox, it has more to it like with the interface and for me my friends are all on it etc . I found the ps4 a bit dull, no friends was on it and the interface was so plain, and also things like the driveclub and psn being down always got on my nerves.

 

Dont fix what is not broken

You should have not changed the Interface on the XBOX one. It should have stayed the same as the Xbox 360. I like the old interface and so doesn't millions of others. Please give us the ability to switch to the old 360 interface on the Xbox one.
I hate the new interface.

 

Ever thought about buying a ps4 might be more for you

 

Hey be quiet or my thread will get taken down because of you mentioning the Ps4.

 

He's got a point though - if you really don't like the interface or the console in general other options are available.

Personally I don't mind it at all, I turn it on and load a game, then I don't see it so no problem as far as I'm concerned.

If I just wanted to stare at a pretty main screen I would have bought a console that didn't have any games I wanted to play.

 

Exactly hardly takes any time to get to messages friends or what ever you want thanks to the pins option, but like lout said I'm on the dash for about 30 secs as I brought the console for games

 

I just want the interface to look more eye catching and presentable, sure games are just as important but that job's for 3rd party developers in most cases.

 

Maybe it will in a few years time - don't forget the 360 dashboard today bears no resemblance whatsoever to when it first released.

 

Oh yeah how could i forget it was completely different.

The One dash and interface is changing monthly due to CONSTRUCTIVE player feedback on the offical forums.

The only thing i'd personally like is to be able to add a background.

 

And this is why the Xbox One is selling poorly worldwide, but at least I'm stating the truth rather than just straight up hating on it, i have passionate for this platform to be improved upon, the other thread was on Next Gen as a whole, how much of it could
of been better.

 

To be honest I dont have any major issues with the Interface on the Xbox One.

It does the job in my opinion.

 

Its made to look like a pc dashboard, I like it myself, And like a previous poster said, If you want to look at the main menu all day buy a console with no decent games to play.... Like the ps4.....
