The Xbox One Controller Bumper Problem

So I've come across a problem with Xbox controllers recently, and from what I've researched it appears I'm not the only one. The Xbox one controller, (both elite and regular) have a major bumper problem. The problem is that they break far too easily! The
bumpers are held together by a very flimsy piece of plastic that has snapped on me twice now, once with a regular controller, and again with my elite! What's worse is my elite was barely half a year old before it broke! This is a huge issue for me because
I've now spent over 200 dollars on controllers that I've had to throw away because of bad design that could be fixed relatively easily. And I would be more understanding of this problem if i was an angry gamer who mashes his controller a lot but I'm not. In
both cases the bumpers have broken because of general wear and tear, no smashing, no dropping, just casual play. What really gets to me though is the elite controller doing this too! Microsoft advertised the elite controller as the best of the best in terms
of quality and design, and yet it still has this huge issue? I find it hard to even call it an "elite" controller because of this. I'm writing this now because i know the Scorpio is supposed to come out soon and this needs to be fixed before it does! If anybody
has had the same bumper problem that i have please write something on this forum! this issue needs to be fixed ASAP and it never will be if they aren't aware of it!

Left Bumper Turns controller off

Every time I press the left bumper on my Xbox One controller it shuts it off! Any ideas how to solve this problem?

3 green lights on xbox 360S

bump still the same problem. 1 constant light under controller 1 on the xbox, a flashing green power light in the middle, and a 3rd light under controller 4. apparently its a firmware problem. any ideas????

Hey BigDaddyRoadhog! Depending on your location and when you got the controller you may be able to get them repaired under the warranty if you believe they broke from something other than customer induced damage. For more info contact support

Well, I don't know if I should return them to get new ones. I think it is kinda drastic to have two controllers with the same problem.

On the one I primarily plays with, I left bumper works fine. Has a high click sound, and is very sensitive. the other one, allmost doesnt say click, and I have to push it pretty hard or else it reacts like I just stops pushing the button.

But my second controller I bought seperately (from the same place) have the exact same problem just with the right bumper. The left bumper for that controller is perfectly fine.

The have the EXACT same problem, just with the different bumper.

The problem I have with the controller is the right and left bumper buttons, usually for grenades and tacticals... I have always held the controller in such a way that the triggers are on the second digit of my fingers... when I need to throw a grenade or
flashbang I would just flick my finger up to roll over the bumper, done deal... on the Xbox One controller, however, the bumpers are actually hinged to the right and left, as the triggers are hinged down... which means that you have to depress the bumpers
on their outer edges for them to work, not the inner part as I have always been used to... it has gotton me killed quite a few times, struggling to reset my hands to use the damned bumpers... anyone else, or just me?

The bumpers on my launch day Series 1 Elite Controller finally broke a few months ago. Was disappointed that an otherwise perfectly functioning controller (never had the grip issue with mine) was rendered useless because of the poor design of the bumpers.
All the development that went into the Elite and no effort was made to improve this inherent weakness in all Xbox One controllers. I repaired it myself with a replacement bumper from ebay. Never had bumper issues with any of my 360 controllers.

I have problems with my left bumpers going out on almost every single controllers I have bought for the Xbox One. Either I play too many games that use the left bumper or Microsoft may have miscalculated some of the measurements when they were developing
the machines that make the controllers or just the left bumper measurements altogether.

My whole view point is "At least I can still use my console, unlike the dreaded red ring of death."
