    the xbox recognizes it, it seems to be blocked. If you change the HDMI cable and do not recognize the signal, however, you have already disconnected the console from all connections, power, network and HDMI port for many hours but when you turn it on again,

    Black bars with 1080p???

    My setup is the following...

    TV signal via Windows 7 Media Center PC outputting a 1080p signal

    XBox One set for 1080p signal

    LG Tv that can handle a 1080p signal.

    ...Basically, when I set my TV to the "just scan" setting, the xbox displays perfectly, but when I watch tv, there's a thick black border around the edge, including when i view the PC desktop.

    When I set my tv to "cinema zoom", the xbox one's menus, and edges go off the screen, but the media center's output fits the tv perfectly.

    How is it possible that this is happening when all devices handle 1080p ontheir own with no prolem, and does anyone know how I can fix this annoyance???

    Xbox One will not with smaller TVs (32inch and 24inch), but works with big samsung (50 inch)

    Hi, the samsung TV is model P2770HD.

    The xbox sends a signal and powers the tv on and off, but no video signal.

    The xbox is working and the ports on the tv are working (i tried direct tv devices and all the porta are working fine.

    The HDMI cable also worked with xbox ONEand another, new TV (samsung smart tv).

    It is an Xbox One.

    Hey there Boondock! If the console isn't sending a video signal to the TV, it won't fully boot up. Please give the suggestions above a try and see how they go. Thanks!

    all I can suggest is checking all connection are in correctly if that isn't the issue then you may need to contact xbox customer support as they will be able to go more in depth of what you can do and try.
