The Xbox Beta app automatically activates the connected mode when I have the mode to show...

When you receive and run the dev mode activation app, the app automatically shuts down after page 2. All devkits have the same problem.

The Xbox app cannot be opened in safe mode and automatically closes before it loads.

The "verify" option for my Microsoft account does not show up in the settings when booted in safe mode.

I used an ethernet cable to have Wi-Fi.

Beslano, a number of us have repeatedly "Reported the Problem" through the Beta app and updated this thread to say so. Additionally we have clearly described the problem time and again.

This has nothing to do with signing into the Xbox app - the problem is that the xbox app will not remotely connect to the Xbox one when it's in standby mode.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this particular issue. Sorry to hear that you're having difficulty updating the Xbox console you received from your friend. Since you'd like to play it as a retail console, simply restoring the console to factory
defaults will not take it out of developer mode, but you can get it back there if you'd wish to do so, so no worries!

The Developer Mode Activation App FAQ support page can give you the direct information necessary to get
the console back into retail mode in no time. Give the section titled "I sold my Xbox One and left it
in Developer mode. How do I deactivate Developer mode? " a try and the console should restart into retail mode.
