The Xbox App would automatically open when I start my pc on both Windows 10/11

Hi there Peter welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Have you tried uninstalling and installing the Xbox app? Sometimes this helps it to get its stuff together!

Solution 1:

Type WSRESET in the Windows search bar

Run as administrator

Wait for the window to open to close automatically

Restart your PC

Solution 2:

Make sure your windows are updated to the latest version, whether it's windows 10 or 11.

Solution 3: Make sure that the account in the Microsoft Store app and Xbox app are the same logged in both, in this case, the account that has the subscription.

On Windows 10, go to Start > Search and click on Xbox Networking.

On Windows 11, open the Xbox Console Companion app > Settings (the gear icon) > Network.

Open Accounts
Click Sign-in Options
Scroll down to Privacy
Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."
Restart your PC

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you! I gave this a shot: in Windows 11 it involved disabling two separate settings, "Automatically save my restartable apps and restart them when I sign back in" and "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up after an update". However, unfortunately this still didn't work after checking with a friend

On your PC try the solutions below, please.



Solution 1: Make sure your windows are updated to the latest version, whether it's windows 10 or 11.

Solution 3: Log out your Microsoft store account and also the Xbox app, now type the term WSRESET in the windows search bar and run the app as administrator, a window will open, wait for the window to close automatically and restart your computer, after that login your Microsoft Store account and Xbox app again.



Solution 4: Uninstall the Xbox app and install it again from the Microsoft store.
