    The xbox app won't work


    The xbox app won't work properly as a remote the choice to use my phone to type and copy/paste does not pop up in need help ASAP.

    Xbox 360 YouTube app won't Work

    Hi

    I just got a X360 (Slim) after few Years without console and id really like to use the Youtube App, but it loads (with the regular Youtube logo and red background) and then the screen turns Black. i can move around and press A to watch a Video, but without
    seeing anything. Other stuff like Games and Netflix work fine. I tried to reinstall allready, but it didnt help

    ^Not to mention even the OP stated that the Xbox sees the TV as an open running app and won't shut down automatically. "Just using that" won't work.

    Did you connect your phone to the xbox? Or are you saying it did connect but it's just not working as intended?

    It's amazing that there are so many Ambassador's who seeming don't know about the awesome keyboard and copy/paste feature!

    If it is not working for you or not working any more, try this.

    I've found the first thing to try is to do a HARD reboot of you XBox One. There seems to be an issue where something will happen in the background of the OS and the keyboard will stop working. In my experience so far a hard reboot will fix this and cause
    the keyboard entry and copy/paste features to work again until the issue happens again.

    Another thing to do to keep this issue for ocuring as often is to put the XBox in "energy-saving" (settings -> power mode & startup -> power mode -> energy-saving) mode. This makes it so the Xbox will completely power down when you turn it off instead of
    going into is listening sleep mode. Of course the drawback to do this is that you will no longer be able to wake up your XBox with a voice command. For me, this was not big deal.

    Then its something to do with the router. Get with your Internet service provider and see if they can help you troubleshoot the settings in the router.

    Cheers Brad, i'll give that a go. One thing I forgot to mention though (and not sure if it makes a difference or not) but when the Xbox is connected to the sky broadband, my phone is also connected and works fine.
