    The xbox 360 disc tray problem


    The disc tray opens fast, but when it tries to close, it goes in about a millimeter, then tries to read. I have to push it in fast, but not to far in. I have checked the support, and NOBODY has the same problem. Please help.

    My disc tray won't open; have tried many things...

    Seems like to me the disc tray is stuck or the button has malfunctioned. There is a way to eject the tray in case you get a disc stuck in the system. Here is the links below on how to do it.

    Fallout NV is driving my crazy

    Here's my solution if you haven't yet.

    -Remove Fallout New Vegas disc from Xbox 360 tray

    -Place Fallout 3 disc in Xbox 360 tray

    -Success

    Yes I have, and I tried to put it into my post but I couldn't.

    -Place Fallout 3 disc in Xbox 360 tray

    Open tray?

    If I had to guess, I would say both of your 360's need to be fixed. I have had disc tray problems with 3 separate xbox 360's, each one was a disc tray issue similar to what you describe. Some games took a long time to work, others didn't want to work at
    all, sometimes I would have to open and close my disc tray dozens of times to get a game to work.

    The reason it doesn't work is because something is broken inside of your disc tray, or something that deals with your disc tray functionality.

    Like I said, this is just a guess.

    OPEN TRAY ERROR. Keep denying it if you wish the dashboard update caused it.
