The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Installation Stopped

I purchased a digital copy of The Witcher 3 for my brand new Xbox One yesterday (Nov. 17) from the online store. It started to install automatically, but when it gets to about 65% I get an error message saying "Installation Stopped. Wait awhile, then try
again." Thanks for the helpful error message. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps I could find (like cancelling the install and restarting, logging off and back on, restarting the xBox). I have done this several times over the last two days. Still the
same error right at about 65%.

My hard drive is only 27% full.

I've purchased and installed other games with no problems (I just installed GTA5 with no issues whatsoever).

My network settings are fine and the trouble shooting screens there show now problems (I'm online and all services are available)

This is a brand new console...everything but this seems to be working fine.

Is it just a problem with this stupid game? Are there any workarounds? If not, how do I get my money back?

I've had this happen to me before. There's a couple of things to try.

1. Head to Settings>System to ensure you don't have an update pending.

2. When this happened to me I had to just keep manually restarting the download. I eventually started the download (before I went to bed) and turned the console off (while on Instant On) to complete the download.

 

Thank you for your time Onyx. There were no upgrades pending, so that wasn't it. I re-tried the installation all day yesterday with the same results (Installation Stopped, always right at 65%). I have 558 GB of space available on my HD, so it wouldn't seem
that space is a problem. However...I uninstalled one of my other games (freeing up a tiny 5 GB). After that, the install worked! I was able to re-install my other game too. Really weird. Anyway, this issue is resolved. Pretty flaky.

 

That was an odd resolution. I'll try to remember that for other issues. Thanks for posting back.
