The Witcher 3 download size 22.3 GB or 30.4 GB???!!

Guys..I read on a lot of websites that The Witcher 3's download size on the Xbox One is 30.4 GB. I pre-downloaded the game 1 month back. But when I go to The Witcher 3 in "My Games & Apps" and select "Manage Game", it shows over there that my install size
is only 22.3 GB. Why is this happening?Why does it have different install sizes for different people??!

I doubt it. I've blown through the internal 500 GB as of AK and I don't even have all my games installed. Titanfall, KI, SO, DA:I, Witcher 3, AK, SoM, Wolfenstein TNO, a bunch of the non-retail GWG offerings, Destiny, and that's about it. The file sizes are completely absurd.

And yet MGS V is supposed to clock in at 25 GB. I don't doubt that X1 games would be bigger than Wii U games in general, but not to this extent.Click to expand... you know what you guys are right, Joints, skeleton bones, polygon count, collision mesh, Lod's, animations, textures size, level size, lights, skybox, scripting, events, physics calculations, sounds, non of this has anything to do with the size of the game so there should be no disparity between Mario kart and Forza Horizon 2. Nobody is suggesting that MK8 should be large or small.

I think the wild fluctuation of file sizes for X1 games indicates that compression is not a priority in some games.

Well I see it at 25.15 gb also the one which comes with the expansion pack doesn't give a size for some reason, But the changing sizes could be things being added as it draws closer to release but it look like a good game.

Just to add you don't get the full game until day of release then it finishes the download/install.

25.15GB here, the difference between what you see on your console and what it says in the description is how pre-loading stops leaks by holding back some key files.

The 30.4GB is likely to be base game + expansions once released.

it would be nice if the total file size was indicated on the Xbox one download screen, as something like %35 17.09 GB of 38.35 GB.

this way we would know exactly with no doubts...
