The Witcher 3 delayed again! Nooooo......

I was totally getting ready for this game. It is my 2nd most anticipated game, but if they make it better, than it's gotta be done.

The sheer size and complexity of The Witcher, key features of the title, have had a decisive impact on production. Now, nearing the end of our work, we see many details that need to be corrected. When we release the most important game in our studio’s history,
we must be absolutely sure that we did everything we could to limit any bugs to a level that will allow you to enjoy the game thoroughly.

unfortunately i think it's time we all get prepared for this game to not be what we think it's gonna be. delays sound good but they never quite are good. yep it's great hearing "we delay to make it better" but history shows that's not the case more times
than not.

so i'd say temper excitement on this game now.

I know what you mean Deacon, I actually thought that same thing as soon as I read it. I'm giving this game the benefit of the doubt, because I loved TW2. I'm just hoping it's down to new hardware and the fact that they may not be totally used to it yet.

 

I trust CDPR, & they always deliver quality, but I have to agree with Deacon in some respects. I'm concerned that people may be expecting too much from The Witcher 3. The trailers, interviews, & other pre-release information
have built this game up quite a bit. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the series, so I highly doubt I'll be disappointed when I purchase the game in May. The Witcher 2 was brilliant, so all they have to do is build on that & I'm satisfied.

 

That's a shame but I agree, a broke game (or a game with a lot of bugs) is going to make you feel robbed compared to a game that once polished, could be one hell of a memorable time.

As much as I hate to say it, Deacon's post really sounds like good advice considering the way many games have been lately. However, I believe I'll temper his post with ^ the above
and hold out at least some hope. Because in all reality, even if it doesn't absolutely awe me with 'next gen' gameplay and graphics... it will still be a hit (for me) if it simply works the way it should and isn't a bug filled catastrophe.

 

its alright, as long as they get it right. With all the unfinished games being released i'd be glad to wait a bit more for a well done one

 

What about me? I've been waiting for a new Rainbow Six for years. Then I find out the whole project was scrapped, creative team walked out. Calendar pages flew away...year after year. Now I don't care any longer. I've moved on.

 

Forget Deacon's post. This game is going to be hands down amazing. Get hyped. Be excited. Games of this caliber don't come out very often. It sucks that it got delayed. But it's understandable since CDProjekt Red had proven before they care about releasing
a quality product. They don't release broken garbage just because the deadline is up.

 

Really looking forward to this game. Disappointed it will take s bit longer before I play it but more time fixing bugs and performance is welcome.

 

Disappointing to hear, but I still have faith that this will be a quality game that doesn't disappoint.

Reminds me of Bioshock Infinite, that was pushed to sure up the quality, but I still loved that!
