The Witcher 1 remake as parting gift for XBOX 360

Would you guys like to see this happening?I love The Witcher 2,its one of the best games i played and would love to have the first one also on XBOX 360.I know they were planing to release it a long time ago but something went wrong,i heard it was difficult
cause of the engine built for PC but it could be maybe done a remaster on another engine.Nowadays there are less games coming out on 360 and this to me would be the best parting gift for my beloved console.I dont like missing some of the games in one series
on a console with second or third installment(except for transition between XBOX to 360 to ONE)So if anyone wants this done PLEASE try to make this somehow happen.

The Witcher 2

I can't buy the Witcher 2 for the Xbox one using the gift cards I bought recently (it's the Xbox one gift card). I'm being prompted to change my payment options because Xbox gift cards aren't valid for this purxhase. Why is this so? I want to use the cards
as a measure of security and it doesn't say that they aren't a valid form of purchasing The Witcher 2 until I click to buy it. If I can't use the cards I bought to purchase this game, I want a refund of the money I spent ($30) to buy the game. I have a Xbox
1 console and live in the USA. The Witcher 2 is supposed to be backwards compatible. Thanks for any help.

 

Want to remove Xbox Live from a console.

I'm a college-bound student who left behind his Xbox One as a parting gift to a Step-brother who's apparently too young for it and has had the right confiscated. Will just removing my account from the Xbox One be enough to not allow him access to the yearly
subscription to Xbox Live I bought him?

 

If CD Projekt Red releases Witcher 1 on consoles, it'll be on gen 8 ones.

 

Ugh. I don't think it will happen. It is far to old and dated. The Witcher 1 is right where CD Projekt Red wants it. On PC.

You could always try asking on their Twitter. See if you can get something started

you said Doc in my previous thread people nowadays want a new game in series out every year,no one much cares about good old games.I wouldnt mind if it comes on XBOX ONE either,would like to see good old games on the marketplace much rather then 90% of the
new arcade and indie games.

 

I agree with Doc... I can't see it happening. There's more a chance of seeing the entire trilogy on current generations than seeing ye olde Witcher on the last generation. When there was a demand for it, it would
have been totally viable though. But even then, well here's some old news [Kotaku

I'm thinking if The Witcher hadn't used BioWare's Aurora Engine the port would have been simpler. I can't think of a single Aurora PC game that found a home, in its PC form, on console. They had to be adapted dramatically in terms of gameplay and whatnot
to find a home on a console.

 

I doubt it happening as well, especially on the 360.

 

Guys do you remember Crysis 1 and how late it came on XBOX 360 and how good the port was?I heard that most PC users had trouble playing it.

 

Yeah but CryENGINE isn't the Aurora Engine. The reason I can't think of a single Aurora game on console is because there wasn't a single one. BioWare's next engine after Aurora... the Odyssey Engine was the first to be optimised for console development.

Sometimes I think that people think porting games across platforms is like burning stuff onto a disc, and is as cheap, but anyhooooo... as has been mentioned by Kanaye... if there was gonna be a port it'd be on generation 8. The X1 is basically a PC in a
box with a Windows Kernel buried somewhere in its soul. The 360 is a different beast entirely... doe. Heh.

 

I said a remake,it doesnt have to be the same engine.

 

A port would be cheaper than a remake, and I don't think a port would reap back development costs at retail. For a ground up remake I think you'd have to petition a publisher rather than CD Projekt Red for that one, they'd be fronting the spondooley. So
maybe if Atari or Microsoft could be convinced to do a revamped The Witcher HD for Xbox Arcade or something...

No, or you win the lottery. And pay them to do so.

 

It would be more ideal on the Xbox One simply because the Xbox 360 may not be seeing many new games. But I doubt they would bother with it. Maybe down the road they will try to make a collection set, but I even doubt that.
