The wire for the Xbox One stereo adapter is to fragile

I think that the wire for the adapter is to thin because I have broken 3 in about 6 months. I think it may have been overlooked in the design because the slightest snag and I cant hear anyone unless I push the wire into the casing. It always happens on the
3.5 mm side as well. Just wondering if this is a known issue, what could I do to replace the wire and are the wires likely to be replaced with sturdier ones.

Question about a pc headset and the stereo headset adapter

I have a friend who has a headset he uses on the pc. It has two wires coming out, a mic wire and the audio wire. I found an adapter that merges the two cables into one. If he was to use the Microsoft stereo headset adapter with his pc headset and the
2-1 adapter plugged in to the MS stereo headset adapter, would he be able to use the headset?

Hello, you would need to purchase a stereo headset designed designed for the Xbox One in order to get your game sound through your headset. Microsoft has their own variant

www.xbox.com/.../stereo-headset but there are third party companies which sell certified for Xbox One (Just make sure it says it's available for use with Xbox One).

If you buy a third party headset you may also need to purchase the Xbox One chat adapter so you can connect your headset to your controller

Some companies include them in the box, some don't.

Either way if it comes in the box or not you need to wire your controller up to your Xbox One in order to download the firmware for the chat adapter to it

I have this same problem and so have my friends. Microsofts probably trying to save a buck.

 

I have this same problem and so have my friends. Microsoft will send you a new one if its under warranty and you mail it to them. If you use a third party cord your warranty is voided. (just some warning)
