The WI FI of My new XBOX ONE S does not work well

I have buy a new xbox one s, gears of war 4 special edition red.

The Wi fi sometimes connectsand sometimes NO.

i don't know what the problem is. Can you help me?

Xbox One S WiFi Networking Connectivity Issues

Having the same network problem. I want my money back! My old Xbox one works great on Wi-Fi but my Xbox one S does not. Side by side the s starts lagging out.

 

ps4 bluetooth vs xbox wi fi direct

its still wireless via wi-fi direct but a custom version for the controller, wi fi (normal)direct for glass and other devices and wi fi N dual band for internet. Its not just latency which has been improved, but bandwidth is 250mb/s vs PS4 3mb/s with Bluetooth
2.1 EDR. also PS uses wi fi N (not dual band tho) but does not have wi fi direct as a comms port.

 

Make sure that you are getting a strong signal from your router. If not you may need to move it closer. If the signal is good then try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts
down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results.

The console is really close to the router, and the signal is good.

The hard reset does not work, the console does not connect to wi fi.

Do you have other tips?

 

Have you tried running it wired instead of wireless. There may be a hardware issue with the wireless network component of the console. If possible you might consider taking it back and exchanging it.

If you haven't had it long then you may be able to exchange it with the merchant which is definitely the better solution. . If you have to get it repaired you can go here and get the process started. account.microsoft.com/devices

I don't think that a software update will resolve that issue. It appears to be a hardware issue.
