    I have similar issue to this where I can join the party but when you try and activate party chat it says could not turn party chat on please try again later.

    I want to add that Gamerpics while nice are not critical to gameplay. The focus is solving demand and security issues, and gamerpics believe-it-or-not are a problem to both. Until that is solved gamerpic updates will be disabled. I hope you will understand
    that the priority is security, security, security, gameplay, social interaction and then personalization,

    We all miss it, but I agree with the priorities.

    It says try again later when I try to change my profile picture.

    The team has disabled custom gamerpics, club pics, and club backgrounds for the time being in order to streamline moderation while more people than usual are at home using Xbox Live. You can see it on the Xbox Support site.
