The virtual keyboard keeps glitching…

The virtual keyboard keeps glitching, I’ve tried a power cycle, soft reset and just now a hard reset. It seemed like it helped temporarily when we tried first two options but this hard reset actually didn’t fix it at all. We got this console for the kids last Christmas 2021, is it too late to do an exchange? Is there something I can do that I haven’t tried yet. When they click a letter, the cursor jumps up to the suggestion line, it won’t let them type ANYTHING.

This can be a bit odd, but may I know if you have USB accessories connected to the console?
If yes, can you try disconnecting everything and test if the issue persist?

If yes, the thing with the virtual keyboards happens with an specific game? Or it's basically everywhere?

By the way, what console do you have?
And, do you have an insider build / beta OS installed on the console?

We understand that you're experiencing an issue concerning the virtual keyboard on your Xbox One console not being the normal size that it was.

We recommend trying a power cycle
of the console.

If the problem persists, try doing a soft factory reset of the console,
reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

Try this out first and let us know the results.

If the virtual keyboard is not visible on the screen can you please try a full console restart and hopefully this will resolve the issue for you. To restart the console press and hold the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds, once the
console has powered down wait for one minute then power the console back on and hopefully the virtual keyboard will now be working.
