The Trouble With XBOX & Games

As a player of Forza Motorsport 2 which i loved i unfortunately skipped the 3rd installment and bought FM4 mainly for the drifting, now as i have noticed 5 has gone downhill.

I dont dare say i havent enjoyed what i have played for a short period of time, but for a next gen console and to be pretty much F2P theme on a game i payed £40 - £50 for.

I am most deffinatly not happy the same go's for (Ryse: Son Of Rome) also a microsoft titled game, granted its price was cut to £33 digital download but why are we paying again for gold and what not to level up when it should be a function that is in the
game.

And while ok so you CAN as far as i can tell do it with out micro - transactions and the transactions are not that steep within this game, but Forza 5 is a JOKE and clearly we can see where this is heading and if this is what we can now expect i will NO
LONGER be supporting it.

With what i have just forked out for a NEW gen console and in general for games (Not only is the quality) redonkulously low, but the prices asked im most cases are extortionate.

So ok the graphics look great (for the most part) but what about functionality ?

BF4 really you allowed that crap on the shelfs ?

Same go's for COD Ghost ....

Infact for the most part the new games released are not even pushing 1080, while xbox one has some cool functions thats not why i bought it.

I want to game i thought thats what a games console was for, Infact for the price and quality over all i feel seriously LET DOWN.

But what does microsoft care they have had my money, and like wise i am sincerely thinking your perminently going to be shut off from my wallet.

As i now feel very eager to gain the funds to see if SONY can pick up the pieces with there PS4.

Are you currently signed into the account which redeemed the codes for Assassins Creed Unity and Black Flag? Is it possible that they could have been redeemed on another account on your console?

Trouble with the game.

When I first got my Xbox, It came with the code to download Assassin's creed unity and Assassins's creed IV Black flag. It was great and loved it, but my Xbox was having some issues and I decided to restart my Xbox. Before that happened I unninstalled them
both ( to have more space for this other game I got, also was a disk). So when I re-set my Xbox it was fine and I was happy. Months later, I had the feeling of playing unity again, so I went to the "ready to install" category it wasn't there. So I went to
the store for unity and said the cost, redeem code, and game hub. Nothing about download the game nor to install.

 

The x1 is a disease on gaming the ps4 is where gamers and adults play welcome to ps4 home of next gen

 

FM5 is no worse than FM4 when it comes to micro transactions. If you don't want to pay for extras, don't. I didn't with FM4. Not seeing the issue.

If you're asking why you paid for things, only you can answer that. I bought my Xbox One because I like being an early adopter. I did not expect perfection. I enjoy what I have mostly because I have access to the media integration features that perhaps the
UK does not.

The whole "720p/1080p" argument is pointless because the masses don't sit close enough to be able to see a difference. For multiplatform titles where I care about resolution, I play on PC. For multiplatform titles where I care about ease of multiplayer play,
I'll choose Xbox One.

 

Actually the main reason for the complaint on DLC was due to teh fact i bought a car or two, yet regardless of being signed in as my gamer tag and yes it is a different connection (staying with family elsewhere) its saying i need to buy the cars again, but
i think not which tells me its again about the company making money any way they can even if that means forcing you to pay multiple times for the same sales.

And as for the 1080 pointer it was just that a point ... i dont care if it is or it isnt 1080 infact i would much rather a game plays perfectly as opposed to looks great but runs liek a sac of ...

NOW i am NOT saying PS4 is going to be any better, but i AM thinking i just want a console for playing games on i had hoped XBOX ONE would be that console. As i have for the most part been over the moon with the 360, and while for once yes i wanted to be
an early adopter the XBOX One is in no way filling me with pride like i thought it would and so far apart from (Tomb Raider) of all games i have felt pretty let down by this so called next gen business.

Ryse is pretty good for what it is (hack N Slash) good for a once over in campaigne mode possibley a go or two in MP but thats about it.

Titanfall beta was pretty sweet will i buy the full game at the price they will want especially for new, not a chance to expensive and whiel yes it was ok titanfall wasnt exactly special in my eyes.

 

You do understand that when you "buy" a DLC car in Forza, you don't actually get the car in your garage, correct? You have to buy it in-game using the credits you earn when completing races (or tokens, which you can buy with actual cash). Buying DLC cars
in Forza only allows you to be able to buy them in-game.

Turn10 gave away a Honda three car pack as free DLC a few weeks ago. Downloading that DLC does not put the cars in one's garage. They still have to be purchased in-game. The only car so far that I'm aware of which was given away AND shows up in one's garage
is the Lotus E10 F1 car.

 

I am aware of that IceStorm III i have already purchased the CAR as DLC and with in game credit i have even painted it etc, and i went to use it today only to be asked to purchase the car using real cash AGAIN. That my friend is the point i am making this
F2P DLC charging malarky is getting out of hand.

It should know my gamer tag or at teh very least my xbox one in some way shape or form as opposed to being tied to what would appear my internet connection.

 

It was the Lotus E21 that Turn10 gifted. It also appears that we were gifted a Ford Mustang Boss 302. I also see a Hyundai Veloster Turbo in my garage (twice) and a Lexus IS-F. My messages from Turn10 indicate there's a Focus RS gifted as well, but it isn't
in my garage so either Hyundai ate it, or I have to buy it in-game same as the Hondas.

If your purchased car is missing from your garage, contact Turn10. Complaining here won't help.

 

its not missing (its in my garage with my paint job on it) and it wants me to pay for it again.

And im sorry but thats not going to happen, and while yes my opener was about forza.

My complaining well its not just forza im complaining about, its xbox one and its games in general.

And to be fair general discussions which despite some sourness is what we are doing right ?

And i am if you will airing my opinion others are welcome to air theres good or bad in agreement or not...

 

If you're not going to contact Turn10 about the problem, it's not going to be resolved. Complaining here does nothing because no one official reads this forum in an official capacity.

There's nothing wrong with Xbox One games "in general". Different game developers and publishers use different methods to maintain a revenue stream. It is not surprising that some would opt to pursue a microtransaction model on a new system with few users.
It is not required to avail ones self of the microtransaction model. I rarely do. That you are irritated by devs/publishers wanting to make money is your issue, not a general issue. I'm not sure why you think this is an "MS" problem. Are you under the mistaken
belief that microtransactions do not exist across all platforms?

Xbox One is designed to fit the usage model that 360 owners have been exhibiting ~50% gaming, ~50% media consumption. It is not designed to just play games.

 

So let me get this clear ....... pay a premium price for a game then pay more actually in the game via micro transactions. So welcome to next gen greed ? Also isn't Forza 5 suppose to have less cars then it's predecessor ? as next gen really began it sure
doesn't feel like it. Even though Sont has got off too an amazing start.

to enjoy the game, especially since those extras are a huge timesink. I didn't buy any extras with FM4. I'm not buying any extras with FM5. If I was, I'd be spending more time with FM5 than I do on other games. At that point, microtransactions make sense -
you're spending 2x-5x the amount of time with a single game than you do with another $60 title? Why not spend another $60 on the game to extend its longevity if racing around tracks is your thing?

DLC allows people who want to go nuts an outlet. A gamer with only a casual interest in FM5 (like me) doesn't care about the DLC because I'm not spending hours and hours racing. There is no racing series in the game that is locked behind DLC. All have a
car available with the base package.

 

@Wild. Have you even played Forza 5 I have 29 cars bought and there is still 100+ More too buy I would say a lack of cars is nothing too worry about.

Forza 5 Is an amazing game! Stop bringing up stupid things and then at the very last second start talking about ps4 it is very old now!
