The Titans Are Coming!

"Attack On Titan: Wings Of Freedom" releases this week in the UK and next week in the States.

Based on the successful Manga and the Anime based on the series you take up arms to help humanity overcome the **** of the giant flesh eating Titans.

If you are a fan on the Manga or Anime this game looks AMAZING.

Deciding whether to get xbox one oor not

Destiny and Titan are coming to x1 and x360. The division Next gen only. 3 and 4 PS4 only .

They're both one of the "Titan" games coming out and are directly competing against each other, so yes.



I won't be buying either.

 

The strangest and creepiest looking enemies I've seen in a long time.

 

They're a herd of people eating monsters.

We can't let them have their way.

 

just watched some of that video and it looks utterly horrendous imo

 

^ It does look strange to say the least but sometimes strange can be good/fun!

Trouble is I have no interest in Manga/Anime so I'll think I'll wait. Could be fun but I think this type of game could be a prime candidate in the future for GWG.

I'll be interested to see people's opinions in the coming days/weeks

 

It arrived today as promised by Amazon.

It is only allowing me to play in "Offline Mode" at the moment, presumably because the official European release is Friday 26/08/16 and it won't drop in the States until 30/08/16.

THIS IS AMAZING!

Tecmo Koie and Omega Force have done an absolutely incredible job with capturing the Titan Combat on this game.

The Omni-Directional gear to maneuver around the cities and attack the Titans is perfectly done and somewhat similar to web-slinging in a "Spider-Man" game.

You have to manage boost gas, weapon degredation, health, upgrades, resources, squad mates, resupply as well as battlefield objectives which morph with the changing tide of battle.

Like I said above... the Titan Combat is near perfect. It re-creates the combat from the Manga and Anime in perfect fashion. It brings the Manga and the Anime to life.

Titans vary in size but only die if struck correctly at the nape of the neck. Some of the larger ones may need limbs disabling to bring them down to size... or arms disabling to prevent them striking, or cause them to drop your buddies that they are about
to eat.

It's not too hard to take out the first Titans you face... the controls allow you to easily lock on... then you have to prioritise your target area of attack... then you have to execute the attack. Takes a little getting used to... but the fun comes in
timing your approach and attacks and getting that perfect strike.

The graphics in this game are beautiful matching the Manga and Anime perfectly. Bringing the series to life as if you had taken control of the anime itself and were directing the action yourself... essentially being 'in' the anime yourself.

It's early doors but it's a beautiful start.

If you're a fan of the series you will be impressed.

 

I came so close to buying this in Japan but had to pass because may bag was pretty much full. I honestly thought a western release was not going to happen let alone multi plat, now I can scrap it off my list for October Japan purchases and add a few more
Vita games and persona 5.

Well I'm not going to give any spoilers away except to mention that it's even more... for lack of a better word... amazing!

 

Yeah it's on the store shelves here in Aus now if anyone is interested in a physical release.
