The time of having xbox gold

Im pretty sure something like this has already been discussed, but oh well. Anyway I think that our xbox gold "time" should be taken off whenever we're actively online sometimes I don't even play everday for the 12 months of gold I've bought. So thats my
input on how xbox live gold should be changed to.

My Xbox LIVE tenture is still not correct

'Your tenure isn't the amount of time you have redeemed on your account, but the amount of time you have had an Xbox LIVE Gold membership'

this is indeed correct from Mister Ohnaka and can be taken as a suggested answer for example I had an xbox silver account for one year before having xbox live gold which is why my tenure is 3 years and not 4 .

Hi, im having trouble connecting to the marketplace and having a hard time getting my new xbox live gold membership for 3 months! how do I fix it?!!

Can't say I've ever seen this discussed before,probably because it's a ridiculous idea.

I don't know if I'd call it ridiculous. I imagine the system like an electricity meter, you only pay for what you use.

The flaw would be that Microsoft wouldn't issue 12 month cards though but Gold time cards. They'd start 1000 hour cards instead of twelve months for the same price. Looks better in advertising and they make the same amount of money from a fraction of the
time given (1000 hours is 41 days or there abouts).

It would be a case of be careful what you wish for, it might just come true.

Hi, if you're talking about your Xbox LIVE tenure (the number above your gamercard) then it is the total of time spent as a Gold member. Since you have had the account for 3 years but only subscribed yesterday, then you will have no Gold time because it
only counts the time you have spent as a Gold member.

The Xbox Gold Membership can only be associated with one xbox at a time. However you can still transfer gold between one xbox to another.

There is somewhat of a workaround but only between two xbox. If you have a gold account as the main (home) account anyone who uses the xbox will have access to gold. Then you can use this account on a different xbox but only the one account will have gold.

Yes I have been gold for 36+ months, more than that actually. I started using xbox live gold in 2009 and have continuously been a gold member since that time.
