The technomancer

Anyone else getting it? No idea if it's any good but I'll buy almost any rpg. The Xbox needs more of them

Just bought an Xbox One - can anyone recommend a decent Space Opera RPG like Mass Effect?

Only game I can think of is The Technomancer.

 

I'd say September is the best month for Xbox 1.

I'm excited for next Tuesday, technomancer looks like a fun time

 

I've been wondering the same thing. The screenshots look good plus it's an RPG on Mars.

 

I'm just looking now. Just installing 7 Ways to die. Looks ok, combat looks quite fluid, some varying play styles. Just going to check the multiplayer/online side of things.

 

Don't think,there is any on online/mp side of things, says players 1 on the box.

 

Looks like my sort of thing but might wait a couple of weeks to see what people think first

 

Yep I'm m a bit intrigued after looking at the box yesterday.

 

I caved and will be checking this out tomorrow.

 

Only played for about half hour while Lego installed but was a good start

 

Is it first or third person? Open world?

 

It's third person and looks like it's open world didn't play very long yet though

 

Not sure how necessary it is but they seem to want you to craft a lot of your armour which is a downside to me but a lot of people love crafting

 

IGN gave it a 4.9 out of 10 but their review and reviewer are getting slated.

You always have to read between the lines with reviews be they complimentary or overly critical.

So far I like how almost universally accross the board it is being described as "an old school RPG" in a similar vein to the original "Mass Effect"

Will hopefully get some time with this tonight.

 

I really wanted to like this game but it's just not that great. I never agree with ign's review but they were pretty spot on but I would rate it more like a 6.5. The combat is sloppy (just finished binging on the witcher 3 so it's quite hard to compete with
that. The dialogue gets boring with bad voice overs. And it's becomes confusing when faced with mobs since nothing is shown on your mini map as far as friendlies and enemies. The game isn't the best looking but it does have some pretty sceneries and some of
the aliens are awesome to look at. I will probably just witch the game to easy and race through it to at least get my money's worth. If your faced with more then four humans at once you will likely get destroyed.....
