    The Surge Wins 10 version crashes on title screen


    So I've just installed The Surge on my computer. I know from the past that it worked as since it was part of Gamepass, I installed it to make sure it worked on my computer. But this time, I get to the title screen, where it tells me to press space bar to continue, I do that, and it just crashes the entire game to my desktop

    Already tried reinstalling the game, and updating my GPU drivers, and both those didn't help. Reinstalled Xbox Beta app as well, since one of the 3 reviews mentioned that, didn't help.

    Hmm, well I installed The Surge 2 since it's on Gamepass, and it seems to work. I noticed with the second game it had to ask my permission to link my Xbox account after I pressed space to start the title screen. The Surge doesn't ask that, maybe it's attempting to bring up the window to do that, and that's why it's crashing?



    I even had to reset my version of Windows 10 back to when I bought the computer, because of an issue of the game not actually uninstalling. It still crashes at the same place.



    Anyone might know how I can fix this?

    No it isn't. Though Minecraft PE and the Win 10 release are the same version of the game you would need to purchase the Win 10 version by itself. Cross play IS possible between Win 10 and MC PE.

    The older PC version was based on Java and isn't compatible with either the Win 10 or MC PE version as they use a different programming language.

    I think they will modify the UI to align with win 10, I doubt it will be a win 10 version.
