    The storage device may be missing or disconnected


    When I try to start the Forza Horizon 3 on my PC, I get the message that the game is offline and the storage device may be missing or disconnected. I would like a solution to this problem

    Forza Horizon 4 Issue

    Forza Horizon 4 says it's installed but won't open when clicking play: instead of the game popping up a text box pops up that says, "Forza Horizon 4 can’t open because it cannot be found. The storage device might be missing or disconnected."

    error code 8007045D

    @WPAK - Error code 8007045D is a system update failure. The troubleshooting steps I provided would have eliminated any corrupted or missing data by deleting the profiles and any updates from the storage devices. Once everything has been removed from the
    storage devices, the player may have had to download some items again.

    the error I get when, in the MS store I click to play:

    Starfield can’t open because it cannot be found. The storage device might be missing or disconnected.

    The drive needed replacement and was removed.

    just to be sure, are the games installed on the internal storage device or an external storage device?

    If they are installed on an external storage device, please try and see what happens if the game is installed on the internal storage device and the external storage device is disconnected.
