The state of things

This is a really good read of the state of Battlefield 4 at the moment. I can't remember the last time I was this disappointed in a game like I am with this one. I'm seriously thinking that dice have destroyed all that made battlefield such a great game.
From battlefield 1942 all the way to battlefield 3(even though it had it's own small problems), this one game has tainted the franchise so immeasurably that I'm not sure it can be salvaged. Now with battlefront 3 in the hands of this company I'm forced to
wander what we are in for. To me personally one of the greatest games of all time was and still battlefield Bad company 2. To see that this franchise has gone from that to what we have now is for me personally a very sad time. So what are your thoughts?

The sad state of State Of Decay 2

I recently purchased an XBox One X and have had no problems with it so far. However, I bought State of Decay 2 from my local Argos, and have had trouble with the game not installing/disc loading. All my other games work fine, but not this one for some reason.
I went back to Argos the next day and received a replacement disc.

The same thing happened. I loaded the disc, and it sounded like the console was trying to read it, but no luck. The game would not install.

Has anyone else had this, or similar problems?

 

State of the Game

0% of me has 2.0 im only .93 lol just being honest. But I'm rapidly rising from .73 so ya. It was a nice learning curve from the usual and none of my mates wanted to play BF they all "stuck" with that other game. Just found out yesterday I really like
the AK with the assault class, on TDM. And I'm trying to get more evasive with the jets so I can really put the rocketpods to use. I run mostly recon and a lot of mav with it. I just unlocked mortars for support and wish other people would consider running
MAV when they hear the shells falling, I also noticed you can launch lots of smoke grenades with the mortar - very cool.

Anyone who is following the updates of this game, do they plan to add a lobby for friends to group up before searching for a match?

I got rid of the game to help pay for Titanfall which, like most other fun FPS games I play, has a lobby system.

If they ever add that, I may give it another shot, otherwise the fame isn't worth my time.

 

I am in no way trying to start a debate here our stir things up. With that being said, I have been playing BF4 on the other system and with the exception of some of the worst lag I have ever experienced the game has run very well and on par with other
console BF titles. So, is this a Xbox thing? Also, my favorite was the first Bad Company on the 360 followed closely by BF:MC. I think I played that exclusivity for a year.

That is the biggest problem with this game. Most things I can put up with. The constant lagging and rubber banding is not. I have no other problems with any other multiplayer game but the net code in this game on console is the worst. I can't speak to what
it's like on ps4 as I don't own one but from what friends that do have told me, the lag and rubber banding is just as bad over there.

 

I would have taken this game back to the game store if it weren't for my mates. Now, I think BF4 would have been a great game if it weren't rushed.

I loved BF3 on the 360 and I love BF4 on the One, when it works! I bought it the same time as my day one console and for the most part I haven't had any real issues apart from occasional rubber banding and I play large conquest ALL the time. I have recently
started seeing server lag a lot which is starting to cause problems like not respawning and being stuck on the kill screen! I'm gonna bear with it though as I get so much enjoyment from it when it does work.

BUT, I wont be buying the next one until I know it works properly.

@duffal they certainly killed any good will I had for the franchise. 1943 was my first and I enjoyed BC2 the most and it was my main FPS Multiplayer game for a good 2+ years without fail. Bf3 similar but had problems but I put it down to the aging console
doing its best. But this game it's bad on all platforms so it either shows a rushed game or a game Engine pushed beyond its limits. There is also way to many lock on weapons and jets should take a hike.

 

Just this evening while playing on the new Naval Strike DLC maps, I consistently had instances where I could not move, or change weapons. If I was in a vehicle, I also couldn't switch seats or leave the vehicle. All I could do was shoot - that's it (& it
proved even more difficult while in a vehicle because it kept resetting my aim). Even worse, if I redeployed, I'd still be stuck wherever I respawned (& it didn't even work if I was in a vehicle)! I have never seen this happen outside of the new DLC maps and
I've checked my network while this is happening - it was running perfectly fine, which leads me to believe it's a definite issue with the game or DLC. Have any of you had this or similar issues with the new DLC?

is it still the best fps out there - by a country mile
