The state of the xbox one games drought

There's always a "summer drought" when it comes to big titles. I don't know why that is, cos it's not like people stop playing games in the summer. You end up with too many games released near the end of the year.

One thing that is slow on the Xbox One is the ID@Xbox program. With XBLA on the 360, you had (and still have) 1-3 games being released every week. With ID@Xbox the games are only just starting to trickle out. I think that's because MS were behind with that
program when the console launched. There are tons of devs working on games for that program though, so sooner or later it'll end up like the 360 where you have new games being added weekly.

 

Really? You have some website that is unreliable. As brandiesel1 said, that is not entirely accurate. And when major publications gaming magazine says, it is to bad that the competitions system isn't worth buying until 2016, that says a lot. Because
they have no quality AAA titles. A bunch of indies (in my opinion) isn't going to tide over the masses. Nice try

I love it when people take such offense when someone says "PS4 has no games", of course it does, 9 million people wouldn't buy it if that were true.

What it means is that person says it has no games for them. Sure it has multiplatforms as does XB1 and more digital Indies.

But what most gamers want are big titles to go crazy with, as of right now XB1 kills it.

Dead Rising, Ryse, Forza, Killer Instinct, Titanfall, Horizon, Sunset overdrive, Halo, Project spark. All more appealing to me.

Not interesting in Killzone, Knack, Infamous, LBP3, LoU, Drive Club.

 

@Collapse - that's exactly why I sold my PS4 and I stick with the Xbox One. I was so looking forward to Killzone, but it's that bad a game It couldn't keep my interest long enough to complete it. My mate bought Infamous and had it completed by the next day,
(for a AAA title that is disgraceful), and the whole thing with Sony concentrating on indies, well that was it for me.

I might buy another in a few years time when, hopefully some decent games are on there, Uncharted 4 better deliver, but for now and the foreseeable, the Xbox One is absolutely kicking it for big, awesome games!

 

More games but games that bore me and are offline sadly

 

I'm still having fun with Titanfall, Forza 5, and KI. I'm sure the next release of good games will keep me even busier.

 

in this supposed drought, im still yet to finish watch dogs and AC4 black flag (haven't even started).

2 great games to play in the month leading up to Destiny (of which 2 weeks will be spent sunning myself on holiday!)

then, once destiny drops, its a month until Unity, sunset overdrive, Halo MCC etc i wont finish them all in time for xmas!

Maybe it's down to personal opinion, but I feel there are plenty of good games available to play now, and some more good games before the year is out.

 

I think the way people play their games effects their boredom. I think the people with too much time, so few responsibilities, who rip through games in a few days time are the ones who complain.

I had Watch Dogs since launch, put 12 hours into it & barley did the Story & haven't played MP. I have other digital games like Strider, Child of Light & Guacamelee that people have completed very quickly & I'm still going at it.

I try to stretch out my purchase for as long as possible, I don't rush through games. I tend to play them as of its a tv show, I spend a hour or 2 with it then move on to other things.

The only games I tend to go through fast are the ones that have co-op because I'm playing with others.
