    The Sims 4 dlc Disappearing


    The version of the Sims I bought was the disc of the base game + the cats and dogs expansion pack. When I install the game and dlc I can play just fine for one session. If the Xbox goes to sleep or gets cut off the next time I open the game my dlc and save data is gone. I can, from there, uninstall and reinstall the game (about a 3 hour process) and play a single session before I have the same problem. Dlc and game save data gone. Is there any fixing this? Because I refuse to buy the same game twice just to be able to play it.

    Hi Alexis, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.

    Hi

    So I tried what you suggested:

    1. New profile on series X will load the Sims 4 but without access to any paid dlc

    2. Main profile on Xbox one will load Sims 4 with dlc

    During this test I went back to test main profile again on series X and it let me back in. However this was with no dlc.

    When I installed all dlc again it stopped me loading in and booted back to dashboard at the same place.

    I am now going to load in each dlc one at a time to see if I can pin point which one is causing the problem and will reply again.

    Can you see the DLC on your account order history? Is it showing as complete?

    When you say you can't access it, you are able to see and download it on the console but can't open it, or you can't even download it? Also, do you get any error message?

    I totally understand the importance of getting your Cloths Pack in Sims 4 as soon as possible. Based on the description itself, this is more likely an in-game issue with the Sims 4.

    We highly recommend consulting this directly to Sims 4 community support. Unfortunately, I am not capable in pulling up the Sims 4 support forum due to policy and restrictions, but you can get the page by searching "Sims 4 support" in bing.com or other search engines.
