    The Show 21 not updating


    I have purchased MLB The Show 21. I have installed the game from the disc, but when it’s time to update the game before I can play it for the first time I always get an error message. You need this update, but we can’t get it right now. Try again in a while. 0x8b050033. This hads been going on for a month. I have reinstalled the game, reset my console, and exchanged the disc at the store. What else can I do? Any help is appreciated.

    Please uninstall the game on your console first and install it using the Xbox app.

    I have the app, and can try to launch the game from it. However, I get the same message. I don’t see anything about updating the game though.

    That also happened to me to be honest. I suggest to install the Xbox app on your phone then search for the game. Once done, you should see an option to push the installation using the app to your console. Make sure that the disc is inserted in your console's disc drive too.
