If this is an answer to my request (the server terminated an operation because it encountered a client request loop) I don't see what that has to do with restoring the 643790 points in my OneCafe86978812 account. I lost these points from that account because
a technician from MS advised that I reload the MS Jigsaw game. It looks like this is a way of reducing the amount of points accumulated by quite a few people to MS advantage. I want these points restored. If by app vendor you mean Xbox - than if you're hosting
your games on this app isn't it your responsibility to clear these problems with them?

i haven't done a packet capture on my network to see how packets are really handled, but i don't think MS using any type of P2P because that would basically be connecting to other Xbox Live users that have the same content and pulling some of it from them,
i believe MS is purely a client/server setup so you will get your download from nothing but a MS server.

the DNS really only has 1 job, accepting requests for host name resolution and respond with an IP address, so you will only contact the DNS once when contacting the server to start the download, then it will not be used again unless the session is terminated
for some reason.

May I ask, do you use more than one public IP address? If your gateway only receive one public IP address from your ISP, then I need a bit more information regarding the setup of your networking Equipment.

Modem smcd3gn: This device has to be operating in bridge mode, since an additional router/NAT terminates to this device. In bridge mode, the smcd3gn will operate as a bog standard modem.

Select which one of your two wireless routers that will be the router gateway, for each client computer to connect to. This specific router will perform NAT, DHCP, local DNS server, wireless etc.

The second router, can be configured as an access Point, or a repeater, to extend your existing WLAN.

Ok so this is what I found out, the coming shutdown is of the Messenger *client* and not the Messenger service. The client on the Xbox will continue to operate post-client shutdown. The same applies to Messenger on WP.
