The save system is broken. You can lose progress frequently. Advise others not to buy.

People considering buying this game need to be aware of the potential game breaking save bug.

I have experienced this frustrating problem several during my time with the game, in short
you cannot be confident that any progress you are making is being saved. For example yesterday I loaded up the game to find that I had lost over 1 weeks’ worth of progress. I had finished the Cop Career and was up to level 22 and had a racer
level of 11. (Check my profile to see these date stamped within the last few days). After reloading this morning I am now level 11 cop and 5 racer.

There is now a 36 page thread on the ea forums of users reporting this issue but nothing has been done to address this issue. It is shameful that this game is so broken and no action has been taken. I can only think that there are
not enough people who purchased the game and ea, ghost or criterion believe they can ignore the problem.

I would recommend that all Xbox One users avoid this game. I have contacted ea directly to demand a refund due to what I believe is a defective product and I would encourage all owners of this game to do the same.

I thought I had overcome the issue by always making sure my game was saved and was synched with Orgin. I did this by following the process below which worked for 2 weeks until yesterday.

Before starting a session I would make sure I was always in a public game and was signed into the Origin Servers. Before closing the game down I entered a hideout/command post, opened the Origin terms and conditions and checked on the mobile app that
my online progress matched what it said onscreen. I then left the hideout/command post and re-entered and then left again ensuring at all times that I saw the spinning wheel indicating that the game had saved.

My belief is that the issue is being caused between problems with reconciling the cloud save with a local save file. The system seems to lack the basic feature of ensuring that the most recent file is always used and instead of warning you that there
may be a problem just overwrites you're progress with what it determines must be the real file. The root of the problem could possibly be a hangover from the "Always online" features the xbox one was originally supposed to have. I also suspect the issue
occurs where multiple profiles may end up signed into your xbox at once as I noticed that the last two occurrence followed immediately after my xbox one recognised my son via Kinect while I was playing.

This is a good game but the lack of any ea action to address this problem is unforgiveable in my opinion and I don't plan to buy any more NFS games in the future as a result of my experience with this.

stats reset to lvl 1

Ttrain agreed this was so frustrating I dont even want to play anymore until im sure i wont lose my progress. System is starting to feel real broken. Can i get an answer Microsoft??

 

recovered gamertag, lost achievements

alright.. so i decided to delete my save game. i went into system settings, storage devices and deleted my halo savegame.

i start the game and all my progress is still there. went back into system settings - the save game has returned.

can anyone advise on how to get rid of it? i've tried deleting cache too
