The Riftbreaker on PC

My pc meets a little over the minimum specs and i have the latest graphics drivers installed.

Whenever i load The riftbreaker i get into the main menu just fine but when i try to run either a new campaign or the prologue it crashes as soon as the map starts, I dont get to see the main character load in, it just crashes to desktop every time at the same spot.

I can play other games just fine like Back 4 Blood, just the riftbreaker doesnt want to work. Anybody have any ideas on what to try?

I've also in game and in the Nvidia control panel turned evrything down and still it crashes.

Apologies....I did consider you said "meets a little over the minimum specs" as I was typing about RTX and figured it wasn't an option...but I was too lazy to delete it and figured it may be helpful to anyone else incurring the same issue.

Apologies again..I forgot that the DX is unlikely to be changeable on GP versions.

There was a Hotfix released yesterday by the Developers so make sure the game is fully updated.

Beyond that, if you are running RTX (Ray Tracing) then try disabling it as that is causing some issues. Similarly, try running the game in DX11 rather than DX12 as, again, it has been causing issues for some

Please post your PC specs so we can double check. If you only meet minimum then perhaps something may be missing.

got it working after a deinstall and reinstall and playing it full screen instead of a window
