It appears that you are experiencing an issue in adding friends to your friend's list. Let us check on this together and sort this out. We will make sure that your added friends will show in your friend's lists.

We would like to ask few questions to help us isolate the issue further.

1. Is this affecting to specific friend only?

2. Is your account managed by parent or organizer under the Xbox Family settings group?

For the meantime, check the Xbox Status page if there is an issue an ongoing issue with one of the Xbox services. Click on the link below to check:

Additionally, check the online safety and privacy settings of the account if it is enable to add friend's list. A child account can only see the settings. Only parent can change the setting by signing in the parent's Microsoft account and click on child profile to make changes. See the steps below:

• Log in to https://account.xbox.com/settings with the parent’s Microsoft account.
  
• Click the child account's profile.
  
• Click Privacy
  
• Select Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites.
  
• Select Friends or Everyone then click submit.
  

To enable adding and removing friends

1. Log in to https://account.xbox.com/settings with the parent’s Microsoft account.
   
2. Click the child account's profile.
   
3. In the navigation tabs click Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety
   
4. Select Allow for You can add friends.
   
5. Press Submit

Hey there Jack! You are welcome to add any player you would like to on Xbox, however, some players may not want to accept friend request do to privacy reasons. Not that they have anything against you, it's just that you kinda have to understand how many
friend request some of us get throughout the day and if we accepted every persons friend request, we wouldn't be able to have anymore.

You could just go add add add add adding everyone and the Xbox 1 operating system/dashboard UI doesn't ask permission accept decline like on Xbox 360. Wooo see that person, they're on my friends list. lol. One of my friends did this and he has 1,016 friends.
Probably only like 100 of them has him on their friends list. I also know this because I just checked on his friends list. Some of my other friends said to me who is this dude? I only want to friend people who I've played with or talked with unless they're
good friends with some of my best friends.

But you can actually tell how many of them have accepted someone's friend request. If you PC has Windows 10, get the Xbox App. Then click on a persons profile. For this friend who I won't name, he has You + 221 follower and You + 1,016 friends. I take it
the 221 followers is actually the 221 actual people who have accepted his friend request, or added him back.

My friend deleted me and they wanted to add me back now. But when we send each other friend request it just says pending on our friends list and we don't received each other friend request. We can send each other messages and party/ game invites.... but
for some reason we can't add each other back..
