Hello

I am trying to recover my account, and I was suggested to call microsoft support, which you need your 'reference number from the email you received from Microsoft saying we were unable to verify your identification'. The problem is that I do not know where
this number is in the email, I assume it is the number at the bottom? Can somebody help please?

They should all be using the same system so if you call support they should be able to see the reference number for chat support and help you out.

Usually when you're getting assistance from phone support they will send an email to you while you are on the phone. The reference number that is provided in that email is what you are looking for.

I see. It's fine. You received an email confirmation with a reference number from your refund request, right? If so, you just need to reply there and state that you want to cancel the request.

If you have already filled the form and received a feedback and it is a negative (they won't reset the password) then please call support they will ask you Microsoft Account, reference number from the email and the recently used console's details. Once the
have all the info it will be sent to Xbox account team for validation if that was a success you will get an email with a reset link.
