The reasons I'm quitting Xbox.

What a time I've had with this Xbox one first I buy the day one edition 500 dollars just for the console and a connect I never use then I buy 3 games by the time I leave the store I nearly paid $900 now it's a heartbreak to see the system at 349 and it comes
with the game but that's not even the worst of it as soon as my warranty runs out my xbox one breaks just will not turn on one day then I send it out to xbox live with a hundred and forty five dollars for them to fix it I wait 3 weeks and when they send it
back my disk drive is broken can't even play one any of the 10 games that I bought for it now I'm sitting here with a paperweight really just so discouraging I have a subscription I pay for that not using it's like they just took my money and just told me
go *** yourself I had more than 9 Xbox 360 because they just kept *** in the bed so what am I supposed to do start over with Xbox one this is my first one of my supposed to buy 9 more this is absolutely ridiculous

Dashboarding is Becoming a MAJOR Problem

Rage quitting & host dashboarding are two completely separate issues. Host dashboarding is a real issue because it ends the game for everyone. Rage quitting isn't an issue at all, imo. Why? There are many legitimate reasons someone could rage quit: real
life calls, unbearable lag, cheating or boosting, useless teammates, spawn killing (I'm looking at you Hijacked!), getting put in match in progress, etc. There's NO legitimate reason for host dashboarding -- just back out & let the game continue for everyone
else.

You must be swamped with responsibilities and/or studies, because last I heard you were working for Microsoft and they were paying you a hefty sum for your forum posts! So, either the wheels fell off or you've been suitably compensated and are now taking

I don't even know what to say all I'm asking is that I sent out my console with $145 the least they could do is make sure the system is working when they send it back you know like what what are they doing there they it looks like they just soldered back
some connections and and just threw new shell on it and then just send it back to me even bother to check the system like Jesus Christ man so now what what am I supposed to do wait 3 to 5 business days for them to to respond to me and then they're probably
going to ask me to send my system back out again wait 3 weeks and then what I'll get it back in its going to be *** again like *** I don't even want an Xbox right now anymore how can I even come / compensate me for the frustration the time wasted

Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience with Xbox One.

Your issue is definitely quite isolated; as in, there aren't huge amounts of reports of such issues that you're reporting.

One of the reasons could be the way you store your console, such as is it vertical or horizontal? can it get enough air? do you plug it directly into a wall outlet or not? etc.

If you did send it in for repair, and they sent it back broken, you can contact support here:
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us and report that. They can grant you a free repair, as well as 30 days Xbox Live and a 30 day warranty extension.

Apart from that, there isn't anything else we can really do on the forums, sure hope you don't quit!

 

Yeah and as of now I'm still waiting 6weeks later no XBox

 

Call phone support and explain to them what's happening. They may be able to set up and advance trade for you. That means they'll send you another console and when you receive it you send the defective one back.

They will need to put a hold on your credit card for the amount of a console just to be sure they get the defective one back but the money will not be taken off and the hold will be removed when the other console is returned.

Give it a try and see what happens.
