    Okay, I get that this Xbox One blank screen thing has something to do with server issues, on MS's end. I can live with that. These things happen.

    But what kind of idiotic operating system gives a black screen of death, when it can't sign in, making the machine look broken? We have these little things called error messages. Learn to use them, MS.

    Deeply unimpressed.

    Hello All,

    Sorry for any issues you are having due to the Service alert. Looks like the service alert has been resolved.
    Please power cycle your console and
    see if it is back to normal when it comes up. When there are core services there are alerts. you can find these through Xbox assist, on support.xbox.com also if you test network will show there.

    It was actually an update that did break which is why it looked broken instead of just an error message.
