The profile I have is not allowed to connect to xbox live

Hey there -

Do you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription? In order to use many of the Xbox Live features, you must have Xbox Live Gold. Double check and let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

I am having this same issue my connection is fine but it still says the current profile is not allowed to play Xbox live

I was able to download my profile but now it says that "The current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox LIVE". My live connection is fine and I am logged in.

It actually looks like you don't have a gold membership on your gamercard on the forums, but when you click your profile to see your gamertag it shows that you have one. If that's the case, please try to delete your profile (profile only), clear your cache,
and download your profile again.

Delete Profile Safely:



Go to Settings, and then select System.

Select Storage.

Select All Devices.

Select Gamer Profiles.

Select the gamertag that you want to delete.

Select Delete.

Select Delete Profile Only.

Clear Cache:

Go to Settings, and then select System.

Select Storage.

Highlight Hard Drive, and press Y

Select Clear Cache, and press Yes.

Restart Console:

Download Profile:

Push the middle button on your XBOX 360 controller.

Select Download Profile.

After doing that, please see if you can connect and play online.

When I view your profile it shows that you are a gold subscriber. It sounds like you may have a child account which does not have Xbox Live privileges.
