The Preview Program has Turned into a Disaster

Two of my Xbox One consoles are in the Preview Program/ Insider Program — neither work. One is stuck in a system update loop which constantly fails once it reaches 70% (customer support has unequivocally failed to help me with this issue), the other can't
even preform a single function on the dashboard without entering a perpetual black-screen, not to mention failing to connect to the internet. Really great stuff, guys.

Somehow, over the past few months, the Preview Program has gone from being a semi-reliable way to test upcoming roll-outs, to an incredibly effective means to brick a system. Why there currently aren't any options to opt out of this train wreck of a program online,
I'll never know. Tell me how any valuable data can be attained— outside of "Wow! We really F-ed this one up."— when a system is rendered unusable.

It's probably not great when 2/3 of my next-gen consoles are non-functional and I'm stuck playing PS4.

    :)

XBOX TURN ON BY IT SELF.

I have an xbox that does that. It used to be part of the Preview beta program, so I've sort of wondered if it is Microsoft turning it on and getting telemetry data. My other xbox that has never been on the program never turns on by itself.

    Hey everyone!

As ngocphi has stated above, all that you can do is wait to be accepted into the Preview Program. For any further questions regarding the Preview Program, you will need to make a post in the Xbox One
    Preview Forums. Thanks in advance!

You should realize that the Insider Program is not about stably having all the new features first. You are voluntarily submitting your console to test pre-release OS updates with the
expectation of system unreliability and bugs (that could very well brick your console at the worst). Microsoft then awaits your feedback on how things are working to help the developers debug the software further.

You always have the option of opting your console out of the program through the Insider Hub app (Settings > Manage Devices).

Pre-release OS features and issues are topics that general customer support is not trained to deal with. If you are looking for specialized help, you'll want to continue on to the
    private Insider forum.

You know it's going be a really eloquent and informative post when it begins with the wholly unaffected "you should realize" cliché. It's fantastic to be schooled by somebody with the modest title of 'Internet Expert', truly. Unfortunately, though, your
teachings are wasted here — I've done plenty of testing in the past (hopefully continuing into the future). This isn't an attempt to effect some sense of greater self-worth or relevance, it's simply a fact; I would hope to know what to expect without an anonymous
fellow or fellowette dictating it to me. It's quality assurance after all — not particularly the most riveting stuff.

Snarky comments aside, Xbox isn't exactly "phenomenal" when it comes to feedback— at least not in my experience— which's perfectly exhibited by yourself, an Ambassador: "You always have the option of opting your console out of the program through the Insider
Hub app (Settings > Manage Devices)." Now, if you had actually read my post (again. not to sound snarky, but it doesn't look like you actually did), you would have picked up on the fact that neither of my consoles are currently functional. I'm not
all that certain as to how I'd go about accessing the Insider Hub whilst both Xboxs are inoperable, which's the crux of my complaint (if there actually is some way of doing this, I'd be grateful to those who'd point me in the right direction). While
I bet that it felt good to get that condescending little gab in, it perpetuates the disconnect that I've come to expect between the Xbox support staff, their volunteers and the users.

It's all well and good to recite the old "it's in testing" mantra, but at some point there has to be a certain level of accountability. Microsoft have known about these issues since 2013 and later with their proliferation into the Preview Program; these
aren't problems resigned to a small group of people. After two years in the Preview Program, it's ridiculous to insinuate that I expect unwavering and perpetual reliability — not so ridiculous is to expect any at all.
