The platinum rule is flawed.

How does this work if one person wants to talk but another doesn't and the one who doesn't expects the platinum rule to be applied to them and not the other way around?

What if it's determined by their attitude of wanting to attack and harass others that they don't want other people to be friendly, should we treat them "the way they want to be treated"?

This rule needs to be changed to the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. (Treat others the way you want to be treated).

Although, with the apparent reluctance to ask questions and ridicule of people who do, it's making social interaction harder and far less enjoyable.

How can "how people want to be treated" be determined if people judge others without questioning them or even trying to understand them, instead assuming and projecting their assumptions on the people they stand in judgement of? (Absence of Due Process)
