The permanent banning/suspension of my xbox live account - Plastication

Hello I have logged on this morning to find my account has been suspended till "9999" I have looked through the email sent to me I have no recollection of theft or stealing I will admit I have bought an account off someone on Twitter but I did definitely
not think that broke the terms and conditions of Xbox live could you please review this with me and help go through entirely what I have done and whether it really warrants a ban. Thank you.

Enforcement on Xbox

Today i received an email that my account from permanently banned. I went onto the link that they posted and it turns out i got banned for soliciting etc. I submitted a case review and went looking for more information. Most suspensions/bans are 1,7, or 14 days and my type of suspension followed under that list but then it said something about if the action was egregious or excessive bans, it could lead to a permanent one. In my case i tried selling my og gamertag, the guy messaged me about it, i told him how much and what payment. He declined, i said ok, and then we didn't message again AND no personal info was transferred, so in my defense it was not egregious. I have only had 2 ENFORCEMENTS, a good reputation, and no consecutive or reappearing issues. I do not think that deserves a permanent ban from all my years of gaming and achievement i have earned. There is clearly a flaw in the system.

 

Live account banned permanently for no reason, HELP please!

My 10 year old son's account was banned Christmas Eve (was so much fun watching a kid open new games that he couldn't play)! This is the email I received Christmas Eve:
This email is to notify you that your Xbox LIVE account privileges have been permanently suspended due to modification of your gamertag or other profile data.

These modifications may include, but are not limited to:
•Altering the appearance of your gamertag or avatar
•Illegitimate gain of achievements or avatar awards
•Application of watermarks or other special identifiers that were not legitimately granted
•Unauthorized manipulation of in-game parameters

Your conduct was brought to the attention of the LIVE Enforcement Team through complaints filed by other Xbox LIVE users or in the course of our operation of the service. The LIVE Enforcement Team has reviewed the complaints and other evidence regarding your conduct and determined it violates the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use and/or Code of Conduct. Because your conduct is in violation, the LIVE Enforcement Team has issued a permanent suspension.

During your suspension, you will not be able to log into Xbox LIVE. Your Xbox LIVE privileges will not be reinstated.

Customer Support is not able to modify or provide any further details about your suspension.


My son does not know how to modify or alter any of these things, so the ban is not legitimate, but the account is suspended. I spent 4 hours on Christmas Day trying to get this straightened out, and was told it was a billing problem so I was transferred to billing which never answered. Today I called support again, and made the customer care person look into the account in depth and she said it had nothing to do with billing, that I was on auto pay with paypal and that it was received. She helped me set up a temporary account and transferred me to billing to change over my payment details from banned account. (Still on hold to India right now after almost an hour).
She was unable to tell me whether points that we have purchased or games, etc would be transferred.

I want to know how to get this straightened out because my son has logged many hours playing his games, gaining points, added purchased points, etc. to his account and now it is all gone. Like I said before, my son is not capable of doing the things the ban states, so I need help in resolving this, because either someone hacked his account, or he was unfairly targeted by gamers in rooms.

That violates the code of conduct.

 

I really don't think that warrants a permanent ban from Xbox live and if so seriously how am I meant to know that

 

Why did you buy an account?

What was on that account to make it worth the money?

 

He was a high prestige on games like call of duty

You agreed to this when creating your account, as did the person selling you the account.

You can not create an account without agreeing to the code of conduct.

 

But why has my main account been banned instead of the account he sold to me. Plus on the email I was sent from Xbox it says it was theft which is proposterous I haven't stolen anything

 

Probably because you were using the main account when buying the other account.

The theft part applies not only to the account, which is microsofts property, but also theft of any items on the account.

You cannot purchase marketplace items from a third party.

 

Hopefully you didn't spend too much money on that account that got you banned.

 

Either that or the person who sold it to you turned around and reported that somebody hacked his account and stole it?

 

He is actually saying the account he bought wasn`t banned, but his original one was.

Probably a matter of time before it is, along with the console.

 

It's more than likely just a matter of time before that one is banned as well. At any rate for any questions related to bans you can post and get an answer from the enforcement team.

this happened to a friend of mine sold his bought some other guys tag warned him didnt listen o well, peopke dont read stuff ... and cry later when its too late.
