The performance of this game is horrendous - it feels like a con

So, going back 6 months or so, the main dev of this game started saying that it was already hitting 30-40 FPS on the Xbox One X and that by release, it would hit 60. It wasn't until December 1st that they suddenly said on Twitter that it would be 30 FPS,
and anyone that's played it knows that it's not even locked to that - the framerate is all over the place and regularly drops below 30.

Remember when Quantum Break was touted as an Xbox One exclusive for years, then right at the last minute, MS said "oh yeah - it's coming to PC as well now!"? This feels like that. A dishonest con.

Do not buy this game. The performance of it is awful and there is no guarantee that it will ever be anything but awful. And before someone says "but it's an unfinished game in preview" - yes I know that - but for SOME ODD REASON, the dev massively oversold
the performance of this game for months in the run up to its release, only for it to not even come remotely close to living up to that.

Black Ops 2

The feel of the game play feels like MW (which is what matters most to me). Some of the maps have a definite BO feel to them. The guns are way better than BO, but different than MW. In BO it felt like you were firing nerf guns at each other, in MW the guns
have some punch to them. The sound is without a doubt MW, because the sound from BO was horrendous.

 

Port forwarding is a must!

this is identical to what ive heared about the cons of port forwarding. infact ive heard it usually helps in no way, just hurts performance

 

It's not a con if we all know it's a unfinished game, it's just the risk you take by paying for an early access game. Personally I haven't been having that many issues with the game myself, been playing it every day and enjoying it so far.

 

i agree 100% to the attitude of your message, this whole thing is just embrassing and unbeliveable that Microsoft supports this or "jumps into that boat" so to say. unbeliveable, i regret my Xbox X purchase already

my last hope is that Sea of Thiefes hold what it promise and calms me at least down a bit, this is ... its hard to find words really

 

Hopefully updates come thick and fast, cos this game really needs it. There have been 2 updates released already, so that's a positive at least.
