    Hi I'm on Xbox One my Xbox Live Gold subscription just expired and I'm looking to renew it using my Microsoft account balance which currently stands at SGD$31.01, however everytime I try to renew it, an error pops
    up saying 'The payment option on an existing subscription has been declined and is blocking the purchase.' Please help me guys thx

    Payment option declined

    I just tried to purchase 1 month of Xbox live gold and I received this message,

    The payment option on an existing subscription has been declined and is blocking this purchase. On your Xbox, go to Settings. Or go to account.microsoft.com/services to fix this problem.

    The only subscription I have is a free 2 week trial of Xbox game pass,

    Any ideas?

    As far as I know, you cannot use your Microsoft account balance to renew the Gold Subscription, that's why you're getting the error.

    If so, you need to pay that overdue payment before you can buy more membership or cancel the recurring membership; more payments will not be taken in the mean time.
