The Outer Worlds not allowing me to save after changing Motherboard

I am playing the Outer Worlds (purchased on PC Microsoft Store).

I replaced my Motherboard after my previous motherboard failed. I had approximately 18 hours into the game, and when I re-opened the outer worlds to play after changing my motherboard, a popup about cloud saves opened, and i mistakenly overwrote my cloud
save with a local save that only had 15 hours played, so I lost about 3 hours. This is not a huge deal, except...

Now, my game will not allow me to save at all. I am on supernova difficulty, but I am attempting to save within my ship. In addition, no autosaves are taking place. At this point, the game is effectively unplayable.

I attempted to re-install my game. I also attempted to delete all local save files. note that my save files were located in C:\The Outer Worlds Windows 10, and not within my saved games folder in my user profile (I do not have a saved games folder in my
user profile). I also want to note that the game was installed on my x:\ drive, and not my C:\ drive.

Is anyone aware of any other way to correct this issue?

That link appears to be for console. I am playing on the PC version of the game. Is there a similar process for PC?

I have a solution, it works for me. Go to %userprofile% > Saved Games > The outer Worlds Windows 10, copy the latest save from the folder with only numbers then put it inside _LOCAL_ , now after the cloud error it should give you the option to load the
save

Some users playing Outer Worlds for Windows have experienced a bug with saves where the game does not properly place the saves in the right folder. Basically the "_LOCAL_" folder is not the right place the saves should be in, rather a folder in the same
path that is just a random numerical string. That is the folder you need to move the saves to from the _LOCAL_ folder. The path through WindowsApps is the game directory with the program files that is locked from accessing unless you change permissions, which
is not recommend and that is not where saves for Outer Worlds go anyway.
