The Next XBOX

What do you think we will see in the next version of the XBOX?

I think we will see an increase in graphics to support the next level of TV's obviously. I also think everything will be cloud based and we might see Hololens on console.

As much as we all love consoles for just gaming, it's not going to happen. They're going to fire a console out, that's capable of doing everything that's in the current one, if not more.

I don't mind the apps, it's not as if we're forced to use them, or download them for that matter. But some of them are handy at times, for example the Sky Player. It's ideal for when the other half insists she's watching some random turd on TV, such as BGT,
or X-Factor.

I can sit and watch Football on a Saturday night. But some of them are just plain stupid, and there's no need for them, especially when most households have a PC or Laptop these days.

The only thing I'd spur on without a doubt, would be the option to browser XBOX community forums, yes. It wouldn't feel the same as browsing on a PC or a Laptop, but the ability to fire up the forum, post a message and see if anyone's got any ideas / suggestions
on certain game types, or even to check on threads that are holding gaming nights for example the BoTS one. It'd be ideal.

 

The Next xbox??

The next generation of game console should be a hardware increase that gives you what the old generation couldnt based at the limitations of its build point.

Hardware wise it generally evolves into a more powerful machine, its this Evolution of Xbox LIVE that really worries me. A console will play games or what ever media source you have,music DVDs whatever. But its how LIVE has changed from a platform to play
games over, chat with friends, buy DLC and arcade games for etc....to something else. Its now being changed into a one stop media entertainment platform with constant new media being streamed across it

I dont need any other that, most people have an entertainment package sourced with their broadband be it cable or satellite, so for me personally, I want a games console so I can play games and have the best gaming experience possible

 

I think It will have 4K 60 every game, I hope It has a version that supports disc, digital download and also cloud, I Hope pretty much that It has Backwards Compatibility with all Xbox games.

4K with 60fps as a baseline with room for improvement. There will be a few models, too. There will be one that will just stream games, one that will be able to download games.

 

I'm sure for the next console 4k and 60 FPS will be the minimum standard. From there I'm sure Microsoft will continue leading the way by innovating an even better cloud system that can stream line all services together (Games Pass, music, movies, etc.)

I think XBox Scarlet will have the power to do 4k at a locked 60fps, with potential VR support depending on the market.

 

Well i read about will be 2 models of Xbox, remember when Phill Spencer says in the E3 conference they was working on the next xbox "models". So the news i read mentioned will be a classic model, with great hardware capabilities 4K 60fps, etc and another
light model that will be in a range price of 100 to 150 and you will be able to play the games via streaming.

 

Maybe 4k 60fps and lighter Xbox, because that Xbox One X is heavy.

 

4K 60fps at a minimum. I hope that MS continue to lead the way in 4K gaming and leave the 'chequerboard' PS4 way behind. MS have a distinct advantage with 4K and Backwards Compatibility so they need to build on this.

 

Be able to play in 60fps for everygame, thats match to the frequency rate of tv 60hz, so its gonna be much more better.

 

soon but hopefully not to soon I wouldn't be surprised if we get a 4k 60fps in the next year or two tho i agreed 100% with everyone saying backwards compatiablity should be a key feature i love my old games

I heard this as well. I personally don't like the idea of a streaming only console, I'd rather spring for the full-fledged console.
