    hi, thinking to buy the new controller. Am i able to plug my iphone headset to the controller directly and hear the audio (game/system) from the headset instead of the TV?

    I am currently using the older version controller, when i plug in the built-in chat headset, the game/system audio does NOT going to the headset and remain from the TV.

    Do all xbox one headsets require the adapter

    The old Xbox One controller only featured an expansion port, newer controllers including the elite controller also feature a 3.5mm input where you can connect 3.5mm cables into.

    So if your headset just requires a 3.5mm input then you can connect it without the stereo adapter if you have a newer model of the Xbox One controllers

    The chat headset is designed to only give you chat audio, and leave game audio coming through your television.

    Any other headset will give you both game and chat audio through the headset, whether you use the new controller or the older version with the headset adapter.

    That's true, you will need a newer model controller if your controller doesn't have a 3.5mm jack

    The newer version of the Xbox One controller will work with an IOS or Android phone, as they have built in Bluetooth which is required to be able to connect the controller to the phone.

    To know if your controller is the newer version, it will have a 3.5mm jack in the front to be used for headsets aswell as the area around the Logo will be lower than the reat of the controller.

    The newer version of Xbox One controllers have a 3.5mm jack so you can plug in any headset which has a 4 pole 3.5mm connector in order to use that as a headset and microphone.

    USB headsets do not work though
