Being able to play all my games with original voices, finally.

What upset me,is that i thought it will be a long process. That i will need to update my games, but no.

Why not having this option since day one,it's really a simple feature.(ggggrrrrrr!!!!!)

Cortana was pretty much useless and unresponsive when first released in the preview (At least for me.), but I stuck with "her"; much better now as it seems to learn and progressively get better.

"There is no plus to Cortana"

I got a few good laughs. I was talking with my wife over the headset on PvZ GW2 (pre-launch but with the last update) and said *some things. No "Hey Cortana" or anything. Well, it decided to search for that anyway. Snapped a search for that right beside
my game. And nothing I said sounded like "Hey Cortana" even remotely. But it sure caught all the "important" words.

Cortana does recognize my speaking down to what seems like perfection. But I had to turn her off because she really was interfering to much. I was using a headset instead of Kinect. And I would get the random search pop up. I had 3 consoles here in the
preview and even at the end it would pop up randomly for us. Again, not sure it would have done that with Kinect.

Ask Cortana to tell you a joke. Some of the jokes it comes out with are quite funny.

That's if that feature is still there.

Cortana is worse than siri AND google now.

It is NOT available in Australia nor New Zealand locale.

I temporarily changed my locale to US, and Cortana was unlocked. But it is not at all, a good digital personal assistant. I asked what the time is or some personal stuff or how are you. All I got was something like having trouble connecting to the internet.
My internet connection is very good. Vodafone NZ high speed 100 down 10 up.

It is shocking coming from like the world's biggest software company. And Microsoft again is being biased to NZ and even Australian people. Implying accents/dialects as an excuse. English is English. Australia AND New Zealand are both common wealth English
countries. Microsoft did the same for voice commands too when it first came out on Xbox 1. It wasn't unlocked for NZ until months after Xbox 1 released.

As for the rest of the Update, the UI looks cleaner, but it has slowed down a little UI navigation with the controller. But it hasn't slowed down much. Before the update, the left side bar menu with your profile friends etc pane use to load in 2 seconds.
Now it seems to struggle to load as fast. Your console online performance is not only dictated by your ISP, but also the software/OS/Dashboard running on your console.

Even google now on my Samsung S5 is much better than this version of Cortana, digital personal assistant wise. But I'm sure Microsoft will provide updates and changes in the future.

I remember when voice commands was only available with KINECT. I have the day 1 console with Kinect and it's still working fine (the hardware).

When voice commands was barred in NZ, I use to change my locale to Australia temporarily to try it. I know several NZ people did this too. When they rolled out English (select your country) option, NZ people can now select NZ locale and English (Australia)
as still use voice commands for NZ locale. There is only like a 2 hour time difference between NZ and Australia. Cortana should be better, perhaps in like 2 years from now or so. Because it is no where near as good as google now on my Samsung S5 phone nor
siri. It's like it's reading off a script, just like when you contact Xbox Support by phone the way they end and start a call. Ouch.

It's a shame they don't issue console bans to those who change their locations.
    IMO.

  9. I have issues with Cortana as well. I'm sure my pronunciation is not that bad to misunderstand so many words; there's not background noise that interfere and my Kinect is calibrated. Oh, and my region is different to the language, so Cortana speaks
in two different langagues and the store announcements are in one language while the rest of written things are in another. I find all of this annoying. Had to set the region back to United States to avoid these things I mentioned before. Cortana will misunderstand
some things I said if don't, even if she recognized what I actually said. I hope Microsoft fix these issues as soon as possible.

I don't care about anything else about the latest update but FINALLY I can use my console in ENGLISH while still having Finland as my locale The new update... Oh dear. :) So not a pointless update at all (though some tiles are still in Finnish The new update... Oh dear. :( ...)

From my experience Cortana's voice recognition is way better than the old Xbox stuff, but has way less functionality. It would be nice if it didn't break compatibility with existing third party apps. Or, at least, had a very basic "Controller Input" mode...

This has been the only update I actually liked.

I don't use a kinect but Cortana works great with my headset. I've only had one incident where she didn't catch a word properly. I looked up an actors filmography as a test and Cortana not only brought up a website but she read off the first 3 listings while
it loaded and I began to navigate it.

I love the new organization and options of the games & apps, as well as the store.

I have always played my own music while playing shooters. Not needing to use a second device is nice.

Strangely when my friend says "hey cortana" in his mic mine will hear it as well and activate when we're in the same party, volume on my headset really isn't that loud so it's just weird that it can hear his voice through the headset speaker
