The new update - Is it installing properly?

I started the download on the new update, but was hit with a power surge, and naturally it shut everything off temporarily. I started my console back up and it's been stuck on the green xbox one loading screen for the longest time now. Is it still installing,
or am i *** until a fix is put out? I'd really like to play my new Assassin's Creed game that I just picked up, as well as the new Halo that's coming out really soon :/

XCOM Enemy Within is not installing off disk

After the new update from 6/11, the game is now installing.

Quick question

Hi there, you can most certainly select to install the update while the game itself is still installing, I believe what happens though is it will immediately start the download of the update and stop installing from the disc so sometimes to make it a faster
process, installing the game while offline and then the updates after the game is finished installing offline will be the fastest way to get gaming.

Though to answer your questions, it won't stuff anything up installing the update while the game is still installing, might just make it a little slower.

Hey there, try turning it off by holding the Xbox logo until it shuts off. Next, unplug the power cord from the back for 5 minutes. Turn it back on, and let it go for up to 10 minutes. If that doesn't work, you may have to do a factory reset.

If you have any other issues with the preview update, you'll want to post in the preview forums so the preview team is aware (forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx).

if an updates fails to install properly then it can cause a full re-install of that game.

Also make sure that all updates are installed as well. It's possible a new update/patch was released and it will not run properly without it so just make sure you are running the most recent version of the game and have all updates done including for Windows

Try uninstalling/reinstalling the game to see if it will install/update properly.

Do you have enough space on HDD? Does your internet connection work properly? Try to install the game first without updating and install the update after the installation is complete.
