    The new music is better than most C418 tbh.


    I see a lot of people ripping into the new music, or even when people defend it they still say it, “doesn’t compare,” to C418.

    In my opinion, most of the new tracks are more immersive or just as fitting as the old stuff. Music is obviously subjective but I feel like most of the criticisms are obviously based on heavy doses of nostalgic bias, and no one is really being open minded to change.

    I’ve played Minecraft since before Hunger Bars were a thing, and as someone who listens to a lot of minimal/ambient music (and I mean actually listens) plus also makes some, the new music is amazing and fits the new complexity of Minecraft well.

    I find that interesting because while I'm definitely not going to play music like that to listen to, it works much better than most music as a background for movies/games/other bands/anything, really.
