  1. The myths of CRT externination

Back when high definition was starting the world was a different place. TV's kept getting bigger and bigger. some got so big with CRT technology you had to hire a football team to move it in your house. Also CRTs that big suck big energy.

There are various alternatives pitch but everyone said crt's had to go.

But people forget a couple advantages of CRT TVs.

first involves one of the differences between primarily gamers and primarily movie watchers. Movie watchers usually say "the bigger the better".

Look at all the video game competitions meant to be presented for live fans, some sort of visual transmission media or both simultaneously. Yes there are jumbotrons and titantrons, but if you look at the actual players in her close-up shots they're actually
fairly close to their own personal TV about the size of a typical computer monitor if it's not a computer monitor anyway.

I asked my friend who appeared on one of these shows, if I theory is correct, based on how I personally play games. You need a TV that's big enough so you could see the trees it's small enough for you could zoom back and see the whole Forest. In your mind
could either concentrate on zooming in zooming back or focusing on both simultaneously half as attentitvely, and being able to switch between any of those three modes at any given time depending on the game situation.

My friend would agree with that. and this is when is second television stent was broadcast in Samsung Gaming Arena. And back then there was no such thing as an optimal size TV for gaming just the practical size of the PC monitor.

Now here are two facts that would justify my plan to bring that glow ping TVs. 1 what is the fact that gamers prefer a certain size TV for optimal competitive advantage. And it's the movie watchers that want the bigger the better. and we supposedly changed
for energy-saving purposes. Gamer size TVs the savings between a modern flat TV and a CRT TV in terms of energy per hour is insignificant. however when you grow beyond that point both the flat screen and the tube screen the tube screen exponentially increases
energy where the flat screen only linearly.

some movies watchers could have their big movie screens that one person can easily carry and they don't have to worry about paying because even if you miss the exact frame you want to pause that there's always the frame reverse button. but gamers don't
mind carrying a CRT TV if thousands of dollars is on the line, they would actually very competitive disadvantage if they got bigger TVs at similar rates to energy consumption of CRTs, and every supposed energy saving technology always came at the cost of milliseconds
of ping. The main reason why gamers wants CRT TVs because it's all about the accuracy of orthe timing and/or the quickness of reaction.

no no one's going to make a CRT TV nowadays because it's environmental hazard to do it. But guess what people thought we could recycle CRT TVs, and the little glass and CRT TVs can literally be only recycled into let It Glass for CRT TVs.

So my plan is to turn Cinema size TVs in to gamer size TVs. I assume it's a lot easier to reshape big glass into a different smaller package that it is to separate the lead from the rest of the glass.

for most games there may come a technology which will render CRTs completely obsolete. But 8 milliseconds is not enough to do it.

There are literally only two technologies which will never make it the CRT TV obsolete till there substitutes for these: light gun games that rely on CRT timing to determine where you shoot by when it sees light, and Sega scope 3D games where the 3D device
has to sense when the TV is alternating left and right frames. Of course if it's close to CRT instant, then you could do it dumbly like the Sega scope.

However to technologies May render those methods obsolete already. I think the only reason CRT timing was used was because, the only type of camera they can afford on a toy gun and be competitive in price is a signal diode binary sensor, and the computer
algorithms of computing where it is based on when it is have already been established so why reinvent the wheel. I don't like this infrared stuff on the Wii because it's not accurate enough. it feels like you're moving a virtual joystick and not actually
aiming a gun because the wiimote does not sense where the TV is in terms of three-dimensional position and 1 dimensional, nor how big the TV is.

you could probably use a smartphone to have it tied to the video game system by a Bluetooth and use basically what's a visual like camera gun,. Instead of taking pictures of the two dots and computing where are you on the screen, or taking the single electron
beam and sensing when its brightest, and computing the where based on the when, you could literally take a picture find the center of the camera and that's where your bullet goes. to add realism you can make it look like a turkey musket with the cell phone
camera facing the screen. But something that you place a cell phone in the muzzle and the rest is just plastic to access certain buttons on the controller.

As for a 3D add-on to a 2d TV, I think ark solve the problem the return signal for audio on HDMI. it's designed so that you could send back information from the TV to the surround sound system and the video game. so we could probably tell when the start
of the video frame begins on when the boat TV displays it hand signals when the audio players are play the corresponding sound. So that's how you could have 3D cinema on a large flat screen TV and just add 3D if you want without having to buy a special TV
and with that there's no specific need for a CRT TV just for 3D TV add on.

The only thing that's left is to either re-released the Sega scope games and the old light gun games on newer formats that actually do feel like the original. once you do that it just becomes a historical curiosity because nothing is lost.

I'm not a snob of the technology because I love the old technology I'm a snob of the old technology because it works. and your technology hasn't quite substituted right.

    :)

    Plasma or LED?

Plasma consumer more power but that doesn't translate into more heat. That's in fact a myth. My 42G30 is similar to the LCD I replaced (40C580). My 2209WA Dell Monitor runs hotter than my 42G30, which is now replaced with LED-LCD. Read Projections TVs are
no longer sold in the UK so I can't comment on that. They stopped selling them more than 3-4 years ago. Can't believe you still have that. I still used my CRT (Sony KV-21CL10U) when I got my first Sony LCD. I hate CRTs but Sony WEGAs are an exception. The
42G30 way better so I'm happy.

    projection tv vs hdtv

If it's that old it's probably a CRT rear projection. It's generating a picture as fast as any CRT does. CRTs are generally considered to be the best display technology in terms of referesh rate, color saturation, etc. It's taken a long time for Plasma and
    LCD to catch up.

For gaming, the best choice is usually Plasma. it's the closest you'll get to CRT without buying a CRT.
