    Hi folks,

    I had an Xbox One S hooked up to my Viewsonic LS700-4k projector. The upscaling to 4k worked just fine and it detected the projector as being 4k compatible.

    I got the Xbox Series X and the most I can get is 1080p/60Hz. I have a ticket open with Viewsonic, but
    I suspect the Xbox Series X is looking for some kind of signal that it isn't getting from the projector. Does anyone know?
    I have tried so many settings on both the Xbox Series X and the projector and have verified that the Xbox Series X is working fine when connected to my LG TV at 4k/60Hz. I've also verified that the projector is supporting 4k as I have a gaming PC with
    an Nvidia 2070 connected to it.

    Yes but as mentioned you will have issues

    It upscales not native

    Only the xbox one x and series x are 4k native

    Most.games will.only run 1080p max on series s

    It will do less CPU intensive stuff like 4k streaming

    Series x does 4k 60hx with possible 120hz (dropped fps )

    Xbox one x does only 4k 30hz

    It might be that the Xbox Series S console doesn't support 4K, but the Xbox One X does.

    Xbox one S gaming monitor compatibility

    Most modern Monitors will work fine on the Xbox One S. Be aware though that while the One S supports 4K, it doesn't play games in 4K. Games on the One S are in 1080P (or lower and then upscaled).

    Are you planning on upgrading to a Series X? If so, you should look at these.

    Fyi the xbox series s/x has no one in it

    This is to reduce the confusion between series s/x and one when it comes to.compatibility

    Only the xbox one s all digital is the only xbox one that isn't compatible with discs

    However there is no limitation as far as xbox one other then the digital only console as far as xbox one games goes

    Vs the series x /s they are backward with xbox one and with the series s limitation as far as discs goes
